Do you want to know how much you need to save to buy your outstanding cars and upgrade them to 100% complete RR3?
Thanks to the suggestion from Sirebel a further evolution of the post Automatic Calculation for Your Outstanding Cars, a revised template has been created, to calculate the purchase costs of cars and their upgrade costs. Obviously this is more complex than just the purchase price of cars, so is recommended a second stage.
Method
Copy the Cars with Upgrade Template
Edit the RR3 Wiki:Car Costs page, select source mode and copy the source information for all the cars, do not make your edits in the cars page!
{{H/carug}}
{{R/carug|Ariel|Atom 3.5|54.2-9.8|S|RR|1|255,000|UGRD=226800|SC=Yes}}
{{R/carug|Ariel|Atom V8|70.2-2.8-6.3|S|RR|1|G=Yes|150|PR=70.0|UGRD=224200+83200|UGGC=15|SC=Yes}}
{{R/carug|Aston Martin|DB9|(38-9.8)|P|FR|2|230,000|UGRD=324900|SC=Yes}}
...
{{R/carug|SRT|Viper GTS|49.5-7.1|S|FR|2|176,000|UGRD=191900|SC=Yes}}
{{R/carug|TOYOTA|Camry ''(Joe Gibbs Racing - 2015)''|(58-7.8-6.2)|S|FR|1|G=Yes|750|PR=58.0|UGRD=1411100+1431700|UGGC=722}}
{{R/carug|TOYOTA|TS040 Hybrid (2014)|92.7-3.3|R|M4|1|G=Yes|1,000|UGRD=2752800|SC=Yes}}
{{T/carug}}
Paste to your profile
Now edit your profile. Change to source mode and paste in the source information.
The template source needs to start {{H/carug}}, edit the cars, deleting all purchased and/or non-upgraded cars in your garage, the template needs to end {{T/carug}}
Alternatively, if you have already followed Automatic Calculation for Your Outstanding Cars, in your profile, that existing template can be modified by adding ug to the template name, e.g. changing H/car to H/carug, R/car to R/carug and T/car to T/carug.
Check Showcase Car Information
Any cars with locked showcase events should have parser |SC=Yes, this will calculate and display a -20% off cost under the car cost. For cars that no longer have locked showcase events, the |SC=Yes parser should be removed.
Update your PR data
Change the initial PR of the cars to the current PR of your car. This is the third parser, directly following the car model.
For cars that don't need to be upgraded w/
e.g.: M3 Coupe Max PR w/ R$ is 30.1 and initial PR is 21.4 (hence -8.7)
{{R/carug|BMW|M3 Coupe|30.1-8.7|P|FR|2|84,600|UGRD=133400|SC=Yes}}
In the case of a car that is recommended to upgrade w/
e.g.: Atom V8 PR w/ strategy is 70.2, max PR w/ R$ is 67.4 (hence -2.8) and initial PR is 61.1 (hence -6.3)
{{R/carug|Ariel|Atom V8|70.2-2.8-6.3|S|RR|....|SC=Yes}}
In the case of a car that is recommended to upgrade w/
e.g.: P1 PR w/ complementary strategy is 85.0, PR w/ intermediate strategy is 84.3 (hence -0.7), max PR w/ R$ is 78.2 (hence -6.1) and initial PR is 67.8 (hence -10.4)
{{R/carug|McLaren|P1|(85-0.7-6.1-10.4)|....|SC=Yes}}
Users can remove differences in PR, based on the current status of their car.
For further explanations on strategy, see Upgrades Strategy For 100% Completion.
Update the Required PR
The base data includes the parser |PR= for the cars that require
upgrades, for cars that require R$ upgrades |PR= will need to be manually added (optional step).Remove cost of Purchased Cars
Change the cost to 0 for any cars in your garage that still need to be upgraded.
Calculate your Upgrade Costs
Calculate the R$ and
upgrade costs. Add the parser |UGRD= for the R$ upgrade costs, the parser |UGGC= for the upgrade costs has already been added, thanks to RomGuyony's data. Any cars that have been upgraded with some upgrades, but are still not at the required level, the |UGGC figure will need to be calculated for your car.
For cars that don't need to be upgraded w/
e.g.: M3 Coupe cost from initial PR to Max PR w/ R$ is R$133,400
{{R/carug|BMW|M3 Coupe|30.1-8.7|P|FR|2|84,600|UGRD=133400|SC=Yes}}
In the case of a car that is recommended to upgrade w/
e.g.: Atom V8 cost from initial PR to Max PR w/ R$ is R$224,200, cost from Max PR w/ R$ to chosen strategy is R$83,200 and 15
{{R/carug|Ariel|Atom V8|....|UGRD=224200+83200|UGGC=15|SC=Yes}}
In the case of a car that is recommended to upgrade w/
e.g.: P1 cost from initial PR to Max PR w/ R$ is R$1,301,300, cost from Max PR w/ R$ to intermediate strategy is R$1,016,000 and 315
, and cost from intermediate to complementary strategies is R$0 and 60{{R/carug|McLaren|P1|....|UGRD=1301300+1016000+0|UGGC=315+60|SC=Yes}}
Users can remove differences in costs, based on the current status of their car.
For further explanations on strategy, see Upgrades Strategy For 100% Completion.
Publish
Now publish your profile. Your outstanding car cost will automatically calculate along with the upgrade costs for new and existing cars. As you purchase and/or upgrade cars, edit your profile and update the data for that car, the costs will automatically re-calculate once more.
Optional Colour Codes
An optional parser was added for cars with italics in their description, this ALT= parser can be used to add colour too.
The ALT= parser is free text, to use colour codes start with enter text here|... COLOUR is a colour code or name e.g.
...Ariel|Atom V8|ALT=<span style="color:lime;">Atom V8</span>...
...Chevrolet|SS (Hendrick Motorsports - 2016)|ALT=<span style="color:orange;">SS ''(Hendrick Motorsports - 2016)''</span>...
...SS (Stewart-Haas Racing - 2015)|ALT=<span style="color:red;">SS ''(Stewart-Haas Racing - 2015)''</span>|...
Will Display:
Even though the cars are different colours, they still link to the car's article page :)
I personally use colour, to identify the priority of cars to upgrade next:
- Yellow: upgrades on hold (waiting to purchase other cars)
- Green: upgrades costing < 400
- Orange: upgrades costing 400-500
- Red: upgrades costing > 500
Any colour can be used, feel free to experiment, on your profile.
