All GT3 cars are allowed, so not just the 2 new ones. So warm up your McLaren 650S GT3, Acura NSX GT3, BMW M6 GT3, Lamborghini Huracán GT3, Ferrari 488 GT3, Mercedes-AMG GT3, Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3, Porsche 911 GT3, Aston Martin Vantage GT3, BMW Z4 GT3, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and Mercedes-AMG GT3. You listed all the cars correctly and individually by their full in-game names (Mercedes-AMG GT3 twice!), except for the Porsches.

      Porsche 911 GT3
      Porsche 911 GT3 Cup

      should be

      Porsche 911 GT3 RS
      Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0

For speed snap or autocross there's usually a list. Since it's a distance challenge that amount can vary if you are doing an endurance run or go off track more than usual.

It's about your average speed not distance. Don't be tricked by the name of distance challenge. Endless endurance is good but with the right track. National circuit obviously not, don't even mention you would get blocked by bots after bots. Which make you slow.

Ah, yes, got it. Well, my team will go only for the 40GC target as lately with all those hackers we're no longer in top 200. Then it will be endless endurance for me with the agent to help reaching that target and get fame 😉

Well that is strange. If your Internet connection is stable, and you are logged into a network and on a team, doing the 2-Lap race should earn you a score, unless you need to close then restart the game first (which you would need to do if you recently Cloud Restored).

      It’s working fine for me.

Because the 40 GC will be divided by the number of team members, so most of the time 2 GC per member ... It's not much more attractive I'm afraid

    • This is a big test for the Firemonkeys. Surely all tracks in the game have been categorized by country, since the early days of Race Teams. and Laguna Seca was in the original version of RR3. Did someone mistakenly categorize it under Japan, due to the old Mazda name? Does it not have a country, since the track is no longer called “Mazda”? Spain, due to the the track’s Spanish name? So if one of the original tracks in the game has been mis-categorized, and the track doesn’t work in this Team Challenge, Firemonkeys need to... fire some monkeys. If it DOES work, then that’s not quite as bad, since the flag system seems more complicated.

It's a big day for other reasons as well. There was hope that by narrowing down track and car for team events in this update that Firemonkeys would take a serious beating to cheaters. The opposite however happened at Overtaking event, where the first 53 teams had 1 or more cheaters in them. Let's hope they used that event to identify the cheaters and eliminate any player logging more than 3000 AutoCross wins.I know: I'm an optimist, but is it really that difficult FM?

FM doesn’t appear to care much about fighting individual cheaters, but rather cheating methods. Hopefully the cheat method used during this past Overtaking (by members of actually the top 57-58 teams, plus many others) is limited to Overtaking, so a future Overtaking Challenge may be a better test for FM.

You confirm what I suggested. By narrowing down track and car for the team events in this updates, FM will be able to collect data on HOW cheaters are working. We all can see which teams are cheating, but just removing them has not been FM's focus. The Distance at Silverstone challenge showed at least 30 teams with cheaters in top-100. We can only hope that FM will act fast, because at this rate even your nice video's will become obsolete...

    • Surely there has got to be better incentive than this to draw players in to the team game. Some time ago, I ran a team of 20, gaining decent reward for participation. This became unviable, so I shifted to a team of just 3 committed players, gaining decent reward for participation. That ran out of road, and I started a team limited to about 8 committed players.... guess what?.... that is quickly running out of road too. The team game is slowly and steadily dying...

    • And it seems to me that any of these options would be OK for autopilot as well, right?

    • Autopilot? How does that work?

SA high, BA high. Then the game will sort of steer the car in the right direction to the finish line. Now you can leave your device to the the work itself and only press the retry button once in a while.

Autopilot quickness: Porsche Archive Catalunya > Mercedes Archive HK > Audi Archive HK > 2019 Season Hock Short > GT4 Exhibition Silverstone > 2019 Season CatClub > Laguna Seca (various races)

    • There's this protest initiative on Reddit and Facebook RR3 sites:

SOLO team protest against cheaters and FM not taking action:

Cheaters have taken over team events and FM are not taking any visible action.

With the 3rd top-100 gold event in update 8.4 this results in 150 teams missing out on a well-earned gold reward. For 50 teams the reward goes to cheaters, for 100 teams (in “usual” top-200 gold reward event) the reward stays at FM.

As a matter of protest that will hit where it hurts following action is suggested for the upcoming Speed Snap event:

Every team member of participating teams will run in a solo team for the 330 Speed Snap Team reward of 40 gold. Completing 330 Speed snaps will take about 3½ hour per solo team player and the 40 gold reward is rewarded, no matter how many cheaters are participating in the main event.

If 300 teams with normally 15 members will participate in this protest, FM will have to pay 300*15*40 = 180 000 gold (one hundred eighty thousand). This will come on top of the normal team event payout, of which 50% will go to cheaters and the rest to teams that are not taking part in the protest. The normal price for 1000 gold is $99, so this protest action will cost FM almost $18000 worth in extra gold payout. Not R$ or M$ but real money! It might only create a small dent in FM income, but it will be noticed and maybe push FM a bit further into ending the cheater wave. A leaderboard with 4500 scores of 330 Speed Snaps might also send a clear signal.

It will for certain have more impact than a boycott.

Who is up for a clear protest?

What do we think about this?

    • FM is working on the ultimate solution, meanwhile increasing the gold reward for the low-tier teams to reduce the pain in future. It's not a easy job. Just have some faith.

      BE PATIENT

    • To give FM credit, in recent months they have improved their pace on catching the cheaters. The WTT cheaters seem to get booted quickly now.

I'm sure they will get the Team Events cleaned up.

In my opinion, it will end up costing the community later on. If FM have to pay out more gold, they will need to recover this somehow to make their budgets balance. So perhaps more expensive cars/upgrades etc.in the future.

I'm all for stopping cheating and also protesting, I just don't think this will end up helping IMHO.
