I just got somewhere between 50 and 60 overtakes in one race and it gave me +1. I went back and checked and it says this is an over-taking challenge. Obviously it's not! It's acting like an Elimination race challenge. So just a heads up, FM messed it up once again!
Actually, I have no idea what this event is! I went and raced a short autocross and that gave me +1. But then the Melbourne time trial counts as one of the events... This is really messed up! 1400 wins for 20 gold??? Probably not worth it. If it was 1400 overtakes and I'm getting 50+ a race then it might have been.
It's "number of wins" challenge... apparently on almost any track and event. Usually it's just autocross or just elimination. They really messed up this one! In fact, I dont think I've seen one more messed up than this.
It is just the title that is messed up. Typo so to speak. And yes, seems they have done this a lot in the game recently. It should say Unassisted Wins not Unassisted Overtakes. Not that big of a deal, my team figured out what they meant in just a few minutes. Moving on...
The Furai overtaking challenge was the first team event I've ever done. I did one race and thought 1400 wins for 20 gold is just plain stupid, I'll go farming instead. Then when the event finished I was awarded R$500,000 - for ONE race. Messed up? It seems like it. Now I'm having a go at the Monza one more seriously though to see if I get any gold.
It is very unusual to get such a prize for such little work. But a 1 man team can me lucrative.
I typically only go for events when there are prizes of 20 & 40 gold for reaching certain goals. An approximated example would be 20 gold for 1400 overtakes, 40 gold for 2500. Then I have earned as much as R$1,500,000 for my final placing and as little as R$500,000.
On thing I never thought of, was people who are low R$. I remember when R$100,000 was a big deal. In this last event R$1,000,000 was possible with 1 minute of racing (2 autocross wins). But again, highly unusual. You usually need to put in at least an hour to get R$500,000 or more. Still, way better then doing 100 PRO/AM races!
Hi ME7. R$500,000 is all very well for 1 race but I don't need it, and i don't really want money I can't spend especially with this reported R$750m glitch (though i'm a way off that.) Of course it's fine for new players for whom, as you said, R$100,000 is a big deal.

I agree. In the future I may leave my 1 man team early, after I collected the gold of course.
