They give a completion award of 100 gold then put at least 3 challenges in it that there is absolutely no way even a fully upgraded car can win. It is one thing to make the game difficult but it is a totally different thing to make it impossible to win. Which events are you referring to? I've completed day 7 and still have more upgrades to do. Is this an unpleasant surprise waiting for us on the final day?

        Loading editor
    • Ive found lower leveld drivers(level 40) (but above average performance wise) as myself unable to complete it because on Day 2 i need to upgrade the car and with the upgrades costing 70,000 R$ and above , im not willing to spend that on an upgrade.

        Loading editor
    • I've completed day 7 with 1232322, in about 30 min. Lots of upgrades left. So it's far from impossible but if you want easier, you either have to put more upgrades or try to improve your driving, learn to drive without assits, take them off one a a time and practice. It's even easier with these kind of cars, that have good grip/handling. I don't recall any event where  you had to fully upgrade a car to win it. Most of the time it's under 50% of the full upgrade path/price to finish the event.

      Impossible fully upgraded?? No way.

I got the Furai with 225 gold in upgrades 1332323 upgrade path. Tuwwel and others may have done it with less. This event is FAR from the hardest event. The Venom and FXX K events were way more trouble for people. My Venom is still -2 from full, so even that didn't require ful upgrading.

If FM makes it easy, people complain that it was TOO easy. In fact, people were complaining about this very event in the early days of it. Now people complain that it's too hard. I thought it was a good event. Events were challenging and interesting. Having 3 overheating events is funny for a car the went up in flames! At first I thought FM was mean to put a bunch of slow cars in 8.3 that get in your way. Then I realized they gave us a brake. In the Porsche RSR 2017 event, it was a full cup race with FAST cars on the same track!

I will say that the Silverstone and Laguna Seca are some of the harder tracks to run fast on. Both are quite technical and unforgiving for off-track. I find Silvertson National hard, as there's 3 BIG turns that you must run efficiently or you're done. Very little room to make up for mistakes there.

        Loading editor
    • Which 3 events are "impossible"?

Obviously none of them are, but are you talking about Laguna?  I agree with ME7, it's a really tough track.  The key to being fast is maintain speed through the fast corners (almost all of them), but the visual references for turn-in are poor and the bots clog up the racing line.  Diverging from the racing line kills your momentum quickly.  It's a tough track.  Just finished 8.2 3132323 (5GC more than ME7) and I'm hoping to finish with that set-up.

Silverstone find comparatively much easier to navigate with traffic.

    • I consider myself to be an above average driver, but 8.3 was virtually impossible for me. Even upgraded to PR 85-ish, and no assists, when I could reach 170, I couldn't stay on course, even if I did manage the corner, I'd get bumped or slide off somewhere else while trying to get into first. After what felt like a hundred failed attempts I cloud restored my nearly 300 gold back and skipped that aggravation.

8.4 and 8.5 were no problem at PR 81 (3334343), and I'll wait for an upgrade sale before even thinking about completing Concept vs. Production for a whopping 27 gold. Not like I don't have a dozen or more other series I won't complete for the same reason. The fact that PR requirement jumps from 81 to 85 in one stage is ridiculous.

        Loading editor
    • You can complete the series with PR 85

Top speed was to be achieved on the straight two turns after the Andretti Hairpin, the first corner.

That's how I and others achieved it with 1332323.

    • Yes, I watched the videos and I achieved the speed goal many times. I also won the race more than once, but never both goals in the same race (at 5344343!), and in another dozen or hundred attempts I'd have eventually got it... but like I said, I have better uses for 270 gold (on top of 350 or so already invested, plus untold hours) than to win back 10% of that as a reward, and a car that serves no other purpose to me. And I like the car... glad to have it in my collection now.

I'm not opposed to upgrading cars to win series, but even this route only leaves me with 577 GC (would be ~350 if I went for it and won.) NOT WORTH IT to me. Kudos to those of you with that ability. I'm not there yet, and I'm not a masochist ;-) This series was fun for about six days, then it got stupid.

    • This was the toughest yet for me.I started playing in February this year. I found this much harder than the 2017 Porsche RSR event. Must've been the combination of the tracks, the stages, and the cars.

I fully upgraded. I think I could've won it with one less upgrade.

My hat's off to the guys that won it with minimal upgrades. Bravo!

        Loading editor
    • Have there been any reports of people here being able to win it with 1332123 or 1332321?

    • I bitterly regret spending as much gold as I have on this car. I haven't even got to day 8.

It doesn't go endless at Indy Speedway. It isn't really * cool*, and its a pain to acquire.

      One trick pony, WTT only.

I wonder why the developers want so much hate. No-one will determine to give them money next time this sort of event is presented. It's just more players, potential payers, lost.

    • Having above the recommended PR it should not be so hard! At 82.7 (3334343) stage 8.2 took at least 20 attempts. Having watched mE7 and speed junkies yt vids I realised its cos I'm a poor driver lol. How they corner so fast and so close to the track edge is a marvel!

      Not attempted 8.3 yet

Might have throw the 4th and 5th engine ug on, but this is definitely hardest special event I've done

        Loading editor
    • Ok did 8.3, took about 7 attempts so actually easier than 8.2. The key to getting 170mph and not going off track was using 3rd placed car to slow me down.

Oh great. 8.4 is even harder!

        Loading editor
    • Finished the event with 77.3 PR, 1332323.

8.2 and 8.3 needed 10-15 tries each, they were tough, done 8.4 and 8.5 in 2 tries.

Wheel B, only Steering assist on low, Sensitivity 3.

I see some of you guys unable to pass ( or find it extremely difficult ) with much higher PR cars. Main issue would probably be that you're using Braking assists or Traction control. Traction control is really bad, that really slows the car down and Braking assist is really killing you on the average speed/top speed challenges. You might drive well enough, but the car is braking more than necessary so you can't reach the speeds you need. I learned a lot from ME7, Tuwwel and other vids on youtube, on how to push the car to extremes, brake later, trial and error until you trust the car and learn it's potential, use lower sensitivity to drive more smoothly, how to use the track to the fullest, 2 wheels on track, 2 on outside to increase corner width which enables you to take a corner at higher speeds, learn each track, some allow a lot of going wide, some not. And Laguna Seca is one of the hardest, most punishing tracks in the game.

Also don't forget any hitting of other cars/barries during race, damage the engine and lower your top speed so always try to avoid contacts, but especially when you have speed challenges.

      GL!

Same here. I did the last curve before start lap 2 as close as possible of 3rd and after reach the requested speed use it to help me brake the Furai. I got the car with this settings: PR 80.3 SA low BA off TC on.

    • I hit the speed of 274 by taking turn 4 right hander flat like ME7. There is enough time to slow down as well. I got the car with ME7 upgrades (that is a legit term now...)

        Loading editor
    • It's easier to hit the #5 car on lap 1 at the end of the front straight, than it is to hit the #3 car in lap 2. Just stay right side, 2 wheels off, past all the RX-3s and RX-7s. The #5 car is perfectly positioned to stop you.

I cracked it eventually after watching some more YouTube vids. I was slowing too much at the 4th corner, Tuwwel and ME7 somehow don't even brake there!

I play tilt B, ba off, tc off but sa low. Have spent much of the last week trying with steering assist off but can't corner or drive in a straight line! Need the sensitivity at zero but then I end turning my phone upside down to corner, then crash anyway cos can't see where I am,

This was not enjoyable so went back so sa low sensitivity 4

    • Have you tried SA off with 5? It works for me on my phone.

      Well done!

That's right for that bend; even feathering the brake is enough to take it. In stage 8.4 it is even possible to leave enough room with the head-to-head opponent to catch up with him at the end of that straight (because he's far slower on exit and brakes earlier) and just brake after reaching the speed and complate the braking gently touching his rear; it will not count as damage and therefore the "failed" flag won't come up (again, "gently touching", not crashing).

Tried all sorts of different combos, but the frustration got the better of me. I did Furai rising day 7 with all assists off so there's hope yet. I have a frustrating habit of breaking slightly too late then taking the corner too early then jumping back on the accelerator too soon. Gets messy lol. The other trouble is I'm going through the career series for completion gold so v slow bots, offline and unserviced isn't really racing as such

Thanks. I whooped and punched the air repeatedly. When its tricky it makes success all the better. I knew is was possible as other (admittedly better) drivers had done it with less upgrades . So kudos to ME7 amd Tuwwel for the vids

I rose my right index finger up in the air energetically upon passing 8.3, à la Vettel. The game has those moments, sometimes.

    • I don't get why so many people are complaining about 8.2 and 8.3. Those two were really tough challenges and it took me a lot of retries but as I got it right, it feels so rewarding. I was proud that I could beat them just by learning the Track. Altough I am over Level 200 I never liked the Laguna Seca, but with this car, it is really enjoyable to race on. The difficulty of this events was just right. It is by far more rewarding if you improve your skill and knowledge of a track to win a car than it is with just completing those 70 Race grind in the Limited time series.

    • I'm a bit split up in my thoughts about this car and event. For me 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4 was too hard and all of them together i think took me about 10h in total with the car at 3332323. I see myself as a pretty good driver with 4 years of playing RR3 (no assist) and find this event is together with top 3 hardest event in the game... I can't even remember the other hard ones but I there are a few events that made me want to uninstall.

The Lambo that you compete against is so much faster on straigths but the Mazda have soooo much better grip wich totaly made it faster in every corner. I had to relearn how to deal with almost every corner. This was great and a lot of fun, for real FUN... to a certain point!! Then frustration comes in and takes ALL the fun out of the game and I want to uninstall the game permanently and throw my phone into a wall.

    • I have run every single special event. I will say there were a couple races in this one that rank up there with some of the toughest. And for me I was nearly FU.

I have found a new way to run special events, LTS, Guantlets etc. I use the strategy upgrade guide at the top of the page to see what the car needs to complete the series it will eventually be in. Then I just upgrade to that right off the bat. I makes running the event so much less of a head ache and less stressful and enjoyable.

In this case, it showed -1 suspension at 26/27 upgrades. And even at that, I still bot slow too. But let me tell you being that heavily upgraded 8.3 took me over 20 times to finally pass
