2.1 - I surely slowed down the bots better than Chronic Avidness as Natalia was 3m behind the chased car, not 95 in front. I decided to win only one event (Hunting) with smalest margin as possible (achieved +4m) to avoid "speeding" bots.
2.2 - first try I was just over the time; 2nd try I made it minus 1sec777; 2rd try : 1:23:505.
2.3 - Was in front of Zoe and tried to slow her down (not sure if this will slow the other bots later) and finished 7m before her.
2.4 - Easy with PR58.5; finished in 3:29:104

Managed 3.1 by reversing to Ascari but only just. I had to have a couple of cracks at 3.4 because Ahmed kept overtaking whoever was in second place and it was impossible to catch him then. I caught him just before Parabolica on the second lap in the end I think. Easily tailed him after that, even when he moved into second and could have beaten him if I'd wanted to.
R$ only upgrades. Should have added some gold today and kicked off the next R$ but I fancied seeing how far I could go. Can't see me getting through Day 4 without gold.

I think that I probably could have gotten through Stage 03 Goal 1 without upgrading beyond 1111111 ( Only), but it would have required perfect entry and exit on corners and no skids, and I just didn't want to put the time in to getting it right after two or three attempts at PR58.5 (Recommended is PR61.2)
Upgraded to 2221211 PR61.3 Cost: 195 and bought the R$ stage 3 upgrades for those 4 as well so that they will be ready for tomorrow.
3.1 at PR61.3 was easier. It just ticked 206kph a few meters from the finish line. I took it a little easier, but passed on the first try.
3.2 I tried a bot slow, but no budge, so I just beat Zoé on speed snap.
3.3 Is a H2H against Zoé in the Aventador and she rockets off at the start and on Curva Grande, but she is easy to catch as she is painfully slow in turns; brakes early exits late.
3.4 is very easy, though it might be tough to catch Chase in the FXXK to finish first. Ahmed in the One-1 is a lot faster on the straights, but Ahmed could walk through the turns faster. Tailgating for 20s is cumulative, so you can let him rocket off, then catch him up again. If you haven't figured it out yet, Ahmed is the Emirati, so he is who you have to tail. He was in third in my race and was in the only One-1. I slowed at the line so Ahmed passed me, but I finished in 5:15 (5:20 Goal); I think the Zonda R rear-ended me across the line a few seconds before I wanted to.
While a bit expensive, the thing I appreciate about the the Events lately is that the Recommended PR makes the event very doable without too much stress. That was the problem with events last year. You'd upgrade to the Rec PR and it would be impossible to reach the goal. I think that it is fair now. You can make the decision of whether to pay to play or not with no surprises and insane difficulty and regret after paying.

4.1 Went straight from day 3 to day 4. Did all 3 events (9th or better) with an unserviced car.
Off track is allowed if you're doing all three events. The "no off track for more than 1 second" is only in combination with finishing one event in 1st place, not when you do all 3.
4.4 Rolling start on the warm up lap, so you have about 2 and a half laps to get to The Belgian. He was driving around 5th place. Drive cleanly, pick off the cars one by one and you should get to the Belgian on the final lap. Overtake, let him by, overtake, let him by etc. He really sticks to your bumper so make a lot of room. You don't have to win this event, so if you want to botmanage you can slow down when you've done the 4 overtakes. The counter stays on 4 even if the Belgian passes you again.

Day 5 is definitely the hardest of the bunch, but still pretty doable at PR 67.9. You may have to try multiple times (I did anyway), but not for hours on end.
For me there's a difference if you know you'll get it in the end, improving and learning from each fialed attempt, or totally undoable challenges where no matter how well you drive, you don't even come close to the target.
5.1 is all about not skidding and good lines. The more you retry the better you'll get and a clean run will undoubtedly follow. Cut across the apex / inside of the corners with 2 wheels. Better to try and maintain speed and keep it smooth than accelerating hard, braking hard etc. Don't be too stressed and hit the corner too fast. Keep momentum. Brake early before the turn, so you can accelerate early while still in the turn.
5.2 is about entering the first two straights with as much speed as possible and keeping it all together for the whole lap from there. Skidding costs a lot of time and momentum, so avoid that.
Reaching the required top speed isn't a problem, it's all about finishing in 2.03. You should easily get the top speed on the long Kemmel straight, and maybe even just before Eau Rouge.
The practice you got in 5.1 comes in handy.
Wide line into turn 1, cut towards the inside wall while going full throttle early. Slow down just a bit for Eau Rouge so you can accelerate from just after the bottom. If you have to lift or brake, or skid on the uphill bit, it will really cost you on Kemmel straight after that.
Made this one with over 2 secs to spare and 195 top speed in the end (and I'm not a special driver)
5.3 nothing special or unusual to report. Usual tactics. Once you have 5.2 you can cruise to the end of the event.
5.4 2 lap Cup race with a rolling start, much like the earlier event at Dubai. Clean overtakes and not too much skidding, pick off the cars one by one and you should get to The Belgian you have to tailgate somewhere before halfway lap 2. No sudden bursts of speed, he was easy to follow. Overtook him when the 30 seconds were up just to make sure I got to the finish inside the required 6m10s. But there was loads of time left. You don't have to win this event, so you can stop before the line and let the clock run down if you're into botmanagement.

6.1 is incredibly easy at 3333333 PR67.9. Zoé is driving the McLAREN P1™ on Silverstone - The Grand Prix Circuit. Could probably be done with less. Only tip would be to tap here bumper if you come in a little hot to avoid passing her or going off.
6.2 Is a Speed Snap. First try I failed. Second try, took the long way around the corner the went to right side of track and left to give me enough distance to reach 248.78. Again, very easy with 3333333 PR67.9.
6.3 Is another Head to Head. Catch Zoé and go for the inside pass at turn two. The race will allow for broadside contact between the cars but do not try to pit her, even inadvertently as that is a red flag. Accelerate past her and then just stay on the track. I beat her by over 140m, again with with 3333333 PR67.9.
Still had three or four green bars left.
Net was -246, which is okay with me. As I can earn 300
by watching ads over the 6 days of the event and the 9 days before Track To Tarmac, I will be back in a positive gold position, not including gold from level ups and Daily Bonus.
I was happy with this event. Day 5 was challenging, but like with all the days, if you met the Recommended PR, the Goals were doable. I can appreciate that and I know that if I chose to spend that amount for upgrades, I will be competitive and not get shafted like in Front-Runner or The Gauntlet (Season 6).
Based on the crew quotes, I think that the storyline is going to carry over to Track To Tarmac. The plot thickens.

Day 6 was a breeze after Day 5. Only 3 short events, not even a Cup race and all easily winnable.
6.1 Rolling start - full throttle to catch up Zoe and then just follow her around. No sudden unexpected bursts of speed after corners as we have sometimes had in previous events.
6.2 Speed snap - don't enter the final turn before the straight too fast & take as wide an outside line as possible, so you can hit full throttle from about halfway the turn or before that.
6.3 Head to head, standing start. No problem again. Contact from the side is no problem, and Zoe is not too aggressive once she has been overtaken. Quite easy to keep her behind.

Start / End Strategy[]
The player has 6 days to complete the 6 stages, the event is 6 days x 24 hours. The first stage will start the time the player starts it, the last stage will end 6 x 24 hours later. As stage 01 is normally straight forward and can be completed without an upgrade or service, it can be started late in the day, it doesn't matter if stage 01 isn't completed the first day, it can continued the following day. Stage 02, will automatically unlock at midnight, but can only be raced once stage 01 is complete. Stage 03 will unlock at midnight the following day, and so on up to stage 6. In total there will be 6 x 24 hours = 144 hours to complete all stages.
For example:
Start Monday @ 7:30 PM the event will end 6 days x 24 hours later, Sunday @ 7:30 PM,

You need to choose the best time for you to start The Elusive One event, or more importantly when is the best time for you to end the event!
RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race tip):
I wouldn't recommend starting the event on the first day, Mon Oct 23rd, as many racers, who start as soon as the event opens, complain about bugs, which FM then fix! Instead, leave the start a day or two and let other people do the bug testing. Also, the tips and details can be filled in by the early adopters, so starting a day or two later gives a better heads up.
Ideally, for racers who are busy Monday to Friday and have the weekend free, the best day and time to start is as late as possible Monday, as long as it's before midnight, meaning stage 6 of the event can be completed over two days, the following Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately is a short time to start this event! It is only open for 1 week, as the next special event is expected Sunday, November 6. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

When is the last time I can start this Event?[]
The event will close ~October 29.
The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at midday or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.
Will this event be added to the race career?[]
FM went through a spell of adding special events to the racing career, the last time a special event was added was September 2015 v3.6, NASCAR Academy was added directly to the NASCAR career, without previously being released as a Time Limited Event (TLE). Previous to that was April 2015 v3.3, with Redline: Origins and MotorFiesta 1. It is therefore unlikely this event will be added to the racing career.

Footnotes[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at mid day or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time.
The best time to start is late in the day local time, as the next stage opens at midnight local time.
If the event is started 11PM October 24th (local time), the event can be completed 6x24 hours later, 11PM October 30th. Allowing almost two full days to complete the last stage.
