Ahmed can be lapped AFTER the finish line and still get the green banner for the win.
Another note: On service bars and upgrades. Upgrade before a race. If upgrading after a race, after the service bars are removed from the race wear, the service bars are removed a second time, after upgrades are purchased. A glitch that can be avoided, if upgrading in the middle of a stage. Upgrade before the race. UPDATE: I've seen this double service bar removal independent of what is done with upgrades. It might be something related to restoring from backup? I'm unsure at this time.

Goal 1.3: cup, Dubai Autodrome - International Circuit - 1 lap - Finish lap under 1:11 no off-track for more than 2 seconds - Recommended PR 130.3

Racer KCain10r wrote:

This may be a difficult goal, until you find good, late brake points. Also, there are many more 'no-lift' corners with this grip on this car. The new no-lift corners shave a lot of time off!

Tilt B, no assists, sensitivity 10.

Goal 3.1: Elimination at Hockenheimring - National - Win this event (Rolling Start and Vs LOTUS TYPE 125's) - Recommended PR 132.2

Racer KCain10r wrote: The 125's are spaced so far apart, it forces the driver to push the capabilities of the MP4-X. Goal completed with 2 PR MORE than recommended. Upgrades were applied earlier in the event to complete them in time for future goals.

Goal 3.2: Cup at Hockenheimring - Grand Prix Circuit - Win this event within 1:15 without going off-track for more than 3 seconds - Recommended PR 132.8

Racer KCain10r wrote: The attempt that ended up completing the goal, this driver used a 125 to brake for the first turn, no-lifting, but with no competitors, that turn is a quick brake. Braking for the long straight into the hairpin, this racer used a point after the wide flag and between the next shorter flag and the firetruck. Failing this a few times, it was learned to brake for shorter times, later in the turn.

Goal 3.3: Speed Snap at Hockenheimring - Short - Skid 4 times and win this event - Recommended PR 133.3

Racer KCain10r wrote: The racer can get the skids needed, then return to NEAR the start line to get the speed for the snap.

Goal 3.4: Head To Head at Hockenheimring - National [2 laps] - Vs FERRARI F14 T's hit 207 mph (334 kph) 2 times without going off-track - Recommended PR 134.0

Racer KCain10r wrote: The speed can be attained from the starting line to turn 2 -- just don't lift at turn 1, stay on track and don't touch the opponent. The second time around turn 1, lift and tap the brake, just a quick moment, to stay on track. The back straight is a place to get the speed, too. Crashing the barrier doesn't off-track you, if you turn some toward the middle of the barrier. Best to not damage the front on the first barrier crash, to keep the top speed intact. Stage 3 Report: Upgrades: 3323332. PR 140.6 - Tilt A, SA high, BA off, TC off

1. National Circuit: Elimination - no special rules, just win the event against 5 LOTUS opponents. (Sorry, forgot to look at the PR recommendations) Race horse start... you begin just after Mobil 1 Kurve. Had to restart as I went off track at Nordkurve on the first run. Hint: the second banner (one after the big overhead banner) AFTER Nordkurve is a good brake point. Race was straightforward - used about 1/2 of what I normally do for brake points. When unsure of exactly where to brake, I found it useful to tap the brakes rapidly until I visually confirmed I was at a good approach speed. As far as the race itself, with the spacing of the LOTUS on the course it is pretty imperative you have no off track excursions... if you just stay on track and drive - shouldn't be too much an issue to win. Race is over quickly - don't be shocked (like I was lol).  Opinion: the opponents were easily overtaken... I would not think there is a need to spend GC on engine upgrades to win here.

2. Grand Prix Circuit: Finish this (16 LOTUS competitors) cup race in under 1:15 with no more then 3 seconds off track. Recommended PR 132.8... this one took a few tries (6 total). Either off track, crashed, or misjudged the  brake point. What I found most critical is you need a clean pass on the front stretch at the beginning, taking the lead by the turn after Nordkurve. Other then that, just drive your heart out. Win on 6th attempt at 1:13:890. Opinion: cloud save your 1st stage win & good luck!

3. Short Circuit: Goal seemed simple... Skid 4 times and win this Speed Snap event. Recommended PR 133.3... my target - 165.4 mph - should be easy right? It was too easy... had to restore when on my first run I hit 189.497 (don't want the bots to get too fast). Restored, second run was better at  173.64 mph (thing moves out - hard to hit it just right and not be too fast). Guess I could restore again, but that's close enough for me. Anyway... just do the 4 skids at the start - easy with no brake assist, t/c off. Happy winning :-)

4. National Circuit: Hit a target speed of 207 mph two times without going off track. Head to head with F14T - 2 lap event. I took the option of hitting the target speed twice on the first lap and cruise to the win. You can easily reach the target speed (with similar upgrades) on the straight after Nordkurve  and the again on the very next straight. You'll have to give the F14 a little love tap at Nordkurve as you both get there at the same time... just make sure only 2 tires go over the edge of the rumble strip or you'll be off track. Also, I swear on a stack of bibles that I hit 207 once & didn't register (restarted that run), so there may be a little weirdness in the conversion from mph to kph. Regardless, not too bad of a race to win. :-)

Reward: 15 GC - no servicing required this stage

Upgrades: 3323332. PR 140.6 - Tilt A, SA high, BA off, TC off

Bot management used - winning by small margins

iOS (iPad Pro)

Porsche Test Track – skips 30 GC

1) On-road Circuit (Short) : Win this 2 lap Cup event, being lower than 2nd place at the beginning of lap 2 and then winning by 300 yards (274 m) . Recommended PR 134.3 - 2 lap cup race against 11 LOTUS. Easy race as your car really outperforms these LOTUS. The only real tip here is to hang back about 30 to 40 yards behind the 2nd place LOTUS as you approach the finish line… he’ll brake a lot earlier then you’ll want to – so leave some room or you’ll shoot right by passing the finish & start of lap 2 (yes, I had to force close at this point on the 1st run – made it on the 2nd). Slowed on the front stretch for bot management, finishing at +337 yards. Also, I used young Eric for servicing… 0 bars damage.

Note: You’ll need Eric for this or the third event if you’d like to complete without servicing. However, you may be able to get by without servicing on the last event, as I know I would have been able to (see below).

2) On-road Circuit (Short): Win this Hunter event without the map whilst tailgating within 22 yards (20 m) for 15 seconds. Recommended PR 134.7 – No tricks on this one… straight forward Hunter event. My target: Tan +125 yards. Once you get behind him it’s easy to pace him just modulating the brakes. After 15 seconds, hit the gas and go. I had to slow on the front stretch or I would have easily been 500+ yards ahead. Another easy victory :-) 2 bars damage.

3) On-road Circuit (Long): Win this 2 lap event with an average speed of 125 mph (200 kph), whilst not going over 190 mph (305 kph) on the final lap. Recommended PR 135.1 – Thought I’d just see what I run on the 1st lap average and take it from there.  Even with a 2+ second off track excursion (was pushing too hard and “just missed” my brake point on the 1st hairpin) 1st lap average was 124 mph. Decided to stay in it as see what happens. Obviously you have to monitor the speed on the final lap as there are 2 to 3 straights you could get up to 190, so watch it! I backed out when I hit 183 to 185. On the home stretch gauge on top was green at 125 (saw it at 127 before the bus stop… so I knew I’d be close to target). Slowed to 135 on the home stretch and coasted to another easy win. 10 bars damage.

4) Dynamic Circuit: Win this Endurance event without running out of fuel. Recommended PR 135.5 – Ohhh Tilt B (gotta coast when you can – well, in theory at least…. Read on). This was surprising experience, and for the good. When you lift, the car decelerates like you’re applying ½ brakes, very VERY useful. May keep this in mind for future events. My target: Santos 5.8 miles. Guys, now this one was way too easy…. Stopped just ahead of Santos with 60+ seconds on the clock, and 1.71 gallons of fuel remaining. Easiest win of the night… Time to service. Note: If you get a low target like me, you should be able to make this run unserviced.

Note: Was unable to do assist evaluations due to time constraints. However, I had an easy time of things today, and I have a strong feeling that no matter the assists used you’ll get the win. 4.3 may take a few tries, but I think you’ll get another win without frustration.

Track: Hockenheimring - Skips 40 GC

1. Cup event against 3 F14T - 1 lap - Grand Prix Circuit - Skid 5 times and finish within 48 seconds. Recommended PR: 135.9 - The MP4-X can easily get away from you when you try to induce a big skid, better to just drive for fastest time and make little skids.... then at the last set of corners, see where your at and then force another skid if needed. Driving through Nordkurve (off track then back on track) netted me 2 skids... and I induced a skid coming out of the next corner by turning into the grass then back on track. Little speed lost and 1 skid added. Then again at the first hairpin turned sharper then needed to induce a skid... then tapped breaks to stop it and moved on.... by the next corner I had my 5.  After that, drove hard to the end... winner at 46.159 seconds with 4 bars damage (13 left before servicing).  TIP: Seems like the easiest was to skid without speed lose is going into the grass after the apex (all 4 wheels) then maneuver back onto the track. With the power this has, your almost guaranteed a skid or two credit. With a 48 second time to beat, you can't afford to loose much momentum.

2. Win this 2 lap cup event (against 21 F14T opponents) with a lead of at least 722 yards (600 meters) - Grand Prix Circuit - Recommended PR: 136.3 - Well, we know what this is all about - faster bots in future races - so I'm certainly going to keep this as close to target as possible. For me, this means that I will restore if I exceed the target by more than 50 yards - regardless the number of retries. 1st run, win - but the car was moving out so fast even after braking it slid through the finish at 900+ yards (distance meter was un-viewable when I needed to see it during the last part of the run). Restore, rerun.... 2nd run I focused harder on seeing where I was at prior to the last set of chicanes... was at +1200 prior to them, then slowed until then end - stopping just before the finish - hit the gas when I saw the meter hit +753 - one more win in the books at 2:26:561 - 9 bars damage (4 left before servicing)

3. Finish this time trial event within 39 seconds reaching a top speed of 200 mph (322kph). National Circuit - Recommended PR: 136.6 - Drove conservative to see where I'd be at the end of the 1st run. Hit the 200 mph on the front stretch, but finished at 41:237. I knew this goal was attainable, just had pick it up in a few spots & not slide, so drove a little harder this time. Doing this I had no less then 7 forced closures & re-attempts due to off track, hitting the wall (seems like if you just tap it you get the DQ), or just going to damn slow.  On my 9th attempt it all came together hitting the speed goal after Nordkurve before the 1st hairpin and finished at 38.783 seconds. 3 bars damage (1 bar left before servicing). TIP: I drove as hard as I could, at at my driver level (357) that's saying something (but keep in mind I do not run WTT so I'm far from an expert at these type of events). For those out there like me who are just learning no assist driving, this could be a skip. My opinion: Assist drivers probably won't make this event with my upgrades - I was in the edge most corners without skidding and I don't know how much the assists will slow you down, but I know I couldn't have made this diving with assists at there present settings (either low or high). Remember though - Your mileage may vary (depending on skill level).

4. Win this elimination event against 5 F14T opponents spaced at 30 second intervals. National Circuit - Recommended PR: 137.0 - I approached this with the idea that any contact with the opponents or unintended off track excursion is probably going to slow you down enough to make the goal unattainable. Picking your passing points will not be an option - you're just going to have to go for it! With that in mind - a win on my 1st attempt came easier then I thought it would, especially after that last race. I did rear end one F14T hitting him pretty hard (didn't anticipate the exceedingly fast closure rate), but as luck would have it the tap knocked him right out of my way so I was able keep going. Anyway, no tricks here - easy elimination event - watch that closure rate! And happy winning!

Reward: 20 GC - no servicing required this stage

Cutting edges is very useful, even with two bars of damage I was 3 seconds faster than Magnus. You need to find the gaps between the barriers and crossing the large grass area completely.

Racer KCain10r wrote: Losing once can bring the speed down a little, but not much. Again, learning to push into the grip brings the speed up a few MPH/KPH higher than the goal. The 15 second time is not an issue, if the racer arrives at the first turn quickly.

You should be able to pass the first guy on the straight. find the right brake point for the sharp turn at the end of the start-finish straight, might take a few tries. Keep trying until you manage to pass the next person before eau rouge, and you'll be on track. Flat out all the way through eau rouge and down the long straight. Brake right at the red and yellow curb on the left side at the end of the long straight. You should be able to pass the next person after this chicane or on the right hander after it (at the start of the downhill). If you manage that you are on track. Keep it tight around the hairpin then take the next three fast left turns with as little braking as you can manage, For the next right-left chicace again brake at the beginning of the red and yellow curb. You should pass the next person in this chicane or just after it. Book it until you reach the first place dude. If you pass him on that straight good job; brake just after that little brige thingy and drive conservative keeping him behind you. The race should end somewhere in the final chicane. If you reach him at the very end of the long straight try to out-brake him. If you are well behind at this point and you haven't gone off track, you might be going fast enough (not sure though) to be able to cut across the grass in 1 second and skip the chicane, but make sure you dont hit anything. took mannyyy tries and a lot of patience. good luck

I had to add the 2nd level Tires/Wheels upgrade (75 gold). I learned... over and over... go around the cars ahead, not through them!

The advice from A Fandom user above about the first chicane is spot on. It is what I learned, in the time I continued attempting the goal.

Eau Rouge: First, I tried braking at the second apex in eau rouge, the valley chicane—I call it. Then, I tried just lifting at the second apex, then just a short lift in the bottom, between the apexes, then no lift, with some careful steering, finally getting through it, no lift!

I was able to pass third place, before the chicane at the top of the hill. Before I added my upgrade, I was passing third place after the chicane, at the second right, the last one before the u-turn at the top of the hill.

I learned it is good to save your 'off-track' time for the back side of the circuit.

Re-learned to trust the grip—again.

Added note: When you win, don't slow and allow second place to ram you—even after being eliminated. The damage done DQ's the win! FM said it 'feels' like they are more aggressive. Is that to imply they aren't but we just feel it? The sting of a victory being snatched away by a ram in the rear is a pretty sharp feeling and a bot behavior I don't recall in all updates before McLAREN Overaggressive!

I stopped at the first turn and let many cars pass. Some attempts I got 7, some 10 at that first turn. Then, went to the front and let three cars overtake me a few times. I held them back and let second and third place pass first. That keeps them grouped together. NOTE: The race ends the moment you become first with 15 overtakes.

Upgrades: 7323332 (changed from previous 3323332)
Tilt A, SA high, BA off, TC off (unless noted)
Bot Management: winning by small margins (only)
View: bonnet view - Sensitivity 5

Track: Spa-Francorchamps : Skips 60 GC

Starting strategy: With 7.4 being a real bastard to beat, I used young Eric on 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3 - This allowed me to "retry" instead of force closing on this event. Very important as 7.4 will drain your soul if your not careful. With minimal time between races, you're able to keep the previous run in your head much better... and you will need every advantage here sports fans! Upgraded engine is a huge advantage that probably only the pros will be able to manage without on 7.4. Read on.......

1. Win this 1 lap cup event without damaging more than 2 of your opponent's cars (rolling start). Recommended PR: 138.9 - I just basically handled this event as a no contact one... but remember that you have to run hard. I actually tried this run a few times with 3323332, and finished well behind the leader. Since 7.4 was coming up, decided to bite the bullet and do it now. Next run was a piece of cake... just pick your passing points - and remember this thing handles quite well off the preferred racing line and holds speed when you go off track for short spurts. Brake lightly just before the apex on the 1st uphill, then on the large uphill brake lightly at the lower 1/3 of the rumble strips... watch your line coming out as there's a bot right at the hill crest... so either stay wide right or stay left as you approach the hilltop. Assist drivers: did 2 runs with settings listed above except using brake assist on LOW. Works fine on this track... braking perfectly after the high-speed downhill at the end. So, use it if you wish - should be a win for (ya at a similar upgrade level to myself).

2. Win this Elimination event (against 21 LOTUS opponents) without damaging your car or going off track for more than 1 second. Recommended PR: 139.4 - Same as 1st race, both in strategy & results. This was actually easier as you have sufficient time to pick your passing points yet still win. Tested 1 run with settings above except with brake assist LOW... should be another win.

3. Win this cup event (against 21 LOTUS opponents) while allowing your opponent(s) 15 overtakes BEFORE reaching 1st place during this 2 lap event. Recommended PR: xxx - This race ends as soon as you achieve the goal (getting to 1st place after having amassed at least 15 overtakes) - in my case that was along the front stretch about 300 yards from the start/finish line. Starting strategy: After the 1st hairpin, stay far left and when it looks like the time is right... brake until you get the 15 overtakes.... then drive baby... drive! Worked like a champ! Winner in one run.... used similar strategy to 7.1 after the overtakes were registered. Tested with brake assist set LOW (others as before)... actually got a faster time then I did when I ran without assist.... go figure (well, I'm still new to this no assist driving and did slide a bit on the no assist run). Point being - assist ok up to this point - that all changes on the next challenge.

4. Win this Speed Snap event averaging at least 119 mph (190 kph). Recommended PR: xxx - Easy to beat the time - can't say the same about hitting the target average speed. After about 43 minutes, nailed it! What I learned from that is.... 1) "No brake assists" is darn near a requirement to reach the target (numerous runs for me proved futile - I couldn't make target with assists).  2) it's all about hitting the right line... and at times that line is off track.  3) Stay focused, avoid frustration, and take a damn brake before your head explodes when you can't do these two things as this WILL take numerous attempts. 4) set a limit on how much time you're willing to spend achieving this goal.... mine is 60 minutes. TIPS: brake for turn one at the beginning of the rumble strips, release when your car is pointed towards the apex turn two (two tires off track at this apex). Go flat out (no braking) onto the next turn. Coming out of turn 2 you need to setup for the next corner by orienting the car such that when you it the apex... all 4 tires are off track (cutting this corner correctly is critical to making the target) BUT really, I mean really close to the road edge... too much off track will slow you too much, too little and you'll slide as you don't brake at this corner either - full throttle no lifting (and why tilt b is superior for these types of cars). That's right... you take turns 2 and three full throttle trying to straighten that line as much as possible. On the last corner, brake at the beginning of the rumble strip and release a millisecond prior to your nose pointing towards the finish line right flag. You have to nail that line or you won't make the avg speed target (tilt a), pros are even having a tuff time with this one soooooooooo - could be a skip. Keep that in mind and don't stress when your on your 68th attempt ;-)

5. Win this Elimination event with a distance greater than 8.5 miles (13.7 km) without damaging your car or running out of fuel. Recommended PR: xxx - Fuel is no issue in this race, I did this event on tilt a (thinking it was just a trial run to see where the bots would be) and made the distance with .7 gallons to spare. Slowed down to let the car settle before running out of gas, then got rear ended by a bot and failed the run. 2nd run was successful.... certainly the easiest event of the day for me. Assist drivers, you'll be ok on Brake LOW for this event.

Goal 8.1: Cup at Silverstone – The International Circuit [3 laps] - Keep under 10 mph (17 kph) for the first 10 seconds, and then win without going off-track for more than 2 seconds - Recommended PR141.0

Racer KCain10r wrote: My PR 140.6 3323332, No assists, Tilt B (mostly), Sensitivity 10.
If you use Chase View, you need not risk going over 10 mph using the throttle. I switched to cockpit view and watched the timer, while standing still, then I started off on the & of nine. Meaning, I counted 6 & 7 & 8 & 9 &, then hit the pedal before 10. Halfway between 9 and 10. Just a little added throttle time, but everything helps on this goal. Then it was just one touch of the camera, to get back to Chase View. My biggest mistake trying to complete this goal was too much off-track time. The winning attempt featured no lift on turn 1 and 2. Braking halfway between ripple strips of turn 2 & 3. Hitting the side of bots, not the back of bots. The second time around turns 1 and 2, braking earlier than the first time. At full speed: braking later puts you off-track. Near the end of lap 2, cutting a short corner off the final chicane. Second place by the beginning of lap 3. Lead attained between turn 1 and 2 of Lap 3 and retained for the remainder of the race. Minimized the lead gap at the end to 40 yards at the finish. It made me think I could have been less aggressive in earlier laps and still won. Use this grip monster's grip to get to higher speeds faster.

Goal 8.2: Autocross at Silverstone – The International Circuit — Win this event (With tyre wear starting at 100% and reducing while racing) - Recommended PR141.2

Racer KCain10r wrote: My PR 140.6 UG 3323332, no assists, Tilt B, Sensitivity 10.
Mistakes that caused failing earlier attempts to complete this goal were, braking wrong causing skids and accelerating wrong causing skids. To complete the goal, first, losing once by a large margin, moved Magnus' time up just a little bit. Then, I cut the first corner in the chicane with just a little off track time. I set up the second corner in the chicane, from the middle of the track, turning as early as possible and accelerating as soon as possible for the long start/finish straight. Slight brake at turn 1, a little bit longer brake at turn 2, long brake at the sharp turn 3 (right) Braking helped turn the car while tires weren't gripping as usual. One turn was no-lift, the last turn was braking to keep from hitting barrier and to stay on-track.

Goal 8.3: Speed Record at Silverstone – The Grand Prix Circuit [1 lap] Win this event without going off-track (With tyre wear starting at 100% and reducing while racing) - Recommended PR 141.4

RR3'tyoloo posted a link to Wooden Pig Zzz video:
FYI: 8.3 is no walk in the park either if you have 1321111 worth of upgrades, the player has to run in reverse direction to win the speed record @ Silverstone. His speed was 388.88kph vs Magnus' 388.73.

First, I watched the video referenced above and I never tried this goal in the clockwise direction. (until after I got the speed and had to complete the lap.) Failed attempts featured, going off-track, hitting the barrier while doing the initial U-turn to go counter-clockwise, going off-track on the big arc turn, going around the big arc too slow and trying again with out starting the race over. I learned the first time has to be the best time. I determined that since I wasn't afraid of going off-track, I wasn't going fast enough on the turn before the straight.
Winning included finding the best point to start accelerating. For me the answer was, start accelerating at the sharp turn in the chicane, turning right, going over the red ripple-strip corner once the car is straight enough to not skid. A throttle lift and NO brake in the big arc, a ripple strip starts and ends on the right. Just before it ends, lift and get the left turn set then, right back on the gas. Aim for the middle-left of the track. Then haul it to the barrier.

Goal 8.4: Cup at Silverstone – The Grand Prix Circuit [2 laps] - Win this event without going off-track (With tyres starting with 0% grip and increasing while racing) - Recommended PR141.6

Racer KCain10r wrote: My PR 140.6 UG 3323332, no assists, Tilt B, Sensitivity 10.
Be in first by the sharp third turn (right). Get there by taking the middle of the bots in the first turn, lift, don't brake and glide behind a bot, then go left of it. Same thing for the turn two (left), lift, glide, go left of the bot. Brake for the sharp, third turn (right), accelerate when the car is mostly lined up with the track after the turn (tires are warming, still). Serpentine from the left to the right, to set up the next turn, sharp left. Take the next left full speed, no lift. At the end of the long straight, brake medium early, then accelerate at the apex of the sweeping left, staying left/center of track, to set up next right into the next straight. Keep somewhat close to Magnus, but don't try to overtake, yet. It can cause off-track excursions. If you're within 200 yds, that's pretty good. After the alternate start/finish line, which you are taking full speed, a momentary throttle lift is all that is needed to stay on. Tires are warm. Push into the grip and head to the esses. Throttle on all the way to the first "s" turn apex, then lift. Navigate the esses, pulse the throttle here and there, and nail it just before the last right. I used the beginning of that turn's ripple strip, heading to the next straight. Stay on the throttle until past the second, over-track banner and the track starts to turn. Throttle on again at the beginning of the left-side ripple strip. Still first lap, Magnus still leads, but not for long. Chicane ahead. Lift throttle at the right side gantry that extends over the track. Brake at the beginning of the barrier on left, but be positioned on the right to go left into the chicane. Gas at apex, stay in middle of track before turning right. Lift throttle a moment at the right's apex, then throttle and float left. I was smelling Magnus' exhaust, here. Full throttle through start/finish. No lift, turn one. Then, turn two, rammed and spun Magnus. Then, I wondered why I was driving so hard.

Goal 8.5: Head To Head at Silverstone – The International Circuit [2 laps] - Keep under 10 mph (17 kph) in the first 10 seconds OR overtake Magnus 15 times, then win - Recommended PR141.6

Racer KCain10r wrote: My PR 140.6 UG 3323332, no assists, Tilt B, Sensitivity 10.
If you choose overtakes and you don't have 15 by the last chicane at the end of lap 2, you will fail, as I did. If you choose to give Magnus 10 seconds, you will complete the goal and win the car. Even with Red service and a 21 mph (33.8 kph) penalty for not servicing. I say, do it both ways, retry to your heart's content. Have fun. This is the icing on the hard-work cake that was Formula Future!

RadarBob Stage 8 Report - Upgrades: 7323332 -PR 142.6
Tilt A, SA high, BA off, TC off (unless noted)
Bot Management: winning by small margins (only)
View: bonnet view - Sensitivity 5 - iOS

Track: Silverstone - Skips 70GC

1. Grand Prix Circuit - 3 Lap Cup event - Keep under 10 mph (17 kph) for 10 seconds then win without going off track for more than 2 seconds. Recommended PR: 141.0 - since 10 miles per hour only equates to 1.467 feet per second, I'm just going to use tilt b to start, pause, then go back to tilt a. I don't think the race will be won or lost by 14 1/2 foot ;-) - 1GC for young Eric - Took about 6 runs at it to get the feel and brake points down, but after 2 slides and 4 encounters with the Kamikaze Bots... I got a win against  Santos - finished at 2:24:838 - my best lap time 0:41:101 vs Santos at 0:46:666. 0 bars damage..... NOTE: I ran hard, had a few screw ups, but still made the cut. I passed Santos on the last lap, out-braking him at Brooklands and holding onto the lead easily. Experienced drivers should have no issues. Brake Assist LOW: 2 3/4 laps with settings above except BA low... let the assist do the braking on most corners, a few test runs will let you know where those are. I was well in contention to be able to make a run at the leader by Hanger Straight, so it certainly is doable. Best of luck guys!

2. Grand Prix Circuit - Autocross - Keep your eye on type wear while winning this event. Recommended PR: 141.2 - Magnus at 30.686... You start at Vale and end at Becketts. TIP: Going off track/sliding really eats into your tire wear so stay on track until Farm Curve (sliding is an automatic retry)... by that time your tire wear should be about 5% to 15%, so here is where you cut... at village. Point it right at the sticks because you will not be able to steer her much after getting on the grass. You should be at 60%+ wear passing the start finish line. Brake Assist LOW: Good news, its is doable... bad news, I wasn't able to get any closer than 30.969. Close, but no podium. I'm sure it's attainable with more attempts... so get 'er done! 5 bars damage - 12 remaining before servicing.

3. Grand Prix Circuit -  Speed Record (1 Lap) - Keep your eye on type wear and win without going off track. Recommended PR: Target: Magnus at 240.01 mph. Got 237 on the 1st run so just had to pic it up a bit. Next run was 238 mph. So kept going. NOTE: tire wear seems to be related to time, so the faster you get to Hangar Straight the better. With this in mind.... busted out a 241.53 on the 3rd run. If you set yourself up good, you can go without lifting through the last turn at Becketts and rocket past the target. Brake Assist LOW: did it after about a dozen runs... so same notes as above. Have fun! 7 bars damage (multiple retrys) - 5 bars remaining before servicing.

4. Grand Prix Circuit - 2 Lap Cup Race - Warm up tires, do not go off track. Recommended PR: 141.6 - Target: Magnus -Six F14T - since the tires are warming, then taking the inside line is out. We'll go up the center and see what we see. 9th run, victory! Magnus 2:40:343 (BLT 1:21:815) - RadarBob 2:38:227 ( BLT 1:15:498). That was a hard fought victory but really no secrets other than: TIP: the enter slow exit fast still applies here... but you have to gradually reduce that braking time as the tires warm Don't think you'll go blistering off and get this one on the first try... patience, you'll get there. Also, shoving Magnus out of the race line is a gratifying way to gain the lead... you should try it ;-)   Brake Assist LOW: believe it or not, you can do it! I had one skid... one. Perfect line approaching & through each apex - consistency is the key. Gain on Magnum in small "baby steps".... a little ground gained each corner adds up!  Young Eric was on hot standby, so zero bars damage - 5 bars remaining.

5. Head to Head - Give Magnus a 10 second head start, or overtake him at least 15 times before you win. Recommended PR: 141.6 - Target: Magnus... who ran a pitiful 1:51:731 - As previous reports indicated, this was easy peesy. RadarBob practiced his power slides for fun.... and the village rejoiced :-) - Brake Assist LOW: Yeah, too easy..... walk in the park it is. Of corse you guys can do it!

Reward: R$80,000 - 25 GC...... Win MP4-X

Start / End Strategy[]

The player has 8 days to complete the 8 stages, the event is 8 days x 24 hours. The first stage will start the time the player starts it, the last stage will end 8 x 24 hours later. As stage 01 is normally straight forward and can be completed without an upgrade or service, it can be started late in the day, it doesn't matter if stage 01 isn't completed the first day, it can continued the following day. Stage 02, will automatically unlock at midnight, but can only be raced once stage 01 is complete. Stage 03 will unlock at midnight the following day, and so on up to stage 8, in total there will be 8 x 24 hours = 192 hours to complete all stages.

For example:

Start Saturday @ 7:30 PM the event will end 8 days x 24 hours later, Sunday @ 7:30 PM,

You need to choose the best time for you to start Formula Future event, or more importantly when is the best time for you to end the event!

RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race tip):
I wouldn't recommend starting the event on the first day, Sunday November 6, as many racers, who start as soon as the event opens, complain about bugs, which FM then fix! Instead leave the start a day or two and let other people do the bug testing. Also the tips and details can be filled in by the early adopters, so starting a day or two later gives a better heads up.

Ideally, for racers who are busy Monday to Friday and have the weekend free, the best day and time to start is as late as possible Saturday, as long as it's before midnight, meaning stage 8 of the event can be completed over two days, the following Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately there is a short time to start this event, it is only open, to start, for 8 days, as the next event is expected November 22. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

FAQ[]

How can I service the car when I already finished the day?[]

If the final car service is missed, after the final event on the day, the soonest it can service is at midnight (local time), when the next stage opens.

The Target is too High, How do I Reduce it?[]

The Game / Le Mans Keeps crashing[]

When is the last time I can start this Event?[]

The exact date is unknown, normally 1 – 2 weeks.

The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at mid day or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

Will this event be added to the race career?[]

FM went though a spell of adding special events to the racing career, the last time a special event was added was September 2015 v3.6, NASCAR Academy was added directly to the NASCAR career, without previously being released as a Time Limited Event (TLE). Previous to that was April 2015 v3.3, with Redline: Origins and MotorFiesta 1. It is therefore unlikely this event will be added to the racing career.

Will the car be available to win in the future?[]

The McLAREN MP4-X is available to win if the challenge is completed in 8 days, after November 14 the McLAREN MP4-X can be purchased.

Can I buy the car?[]

The McLAREN MP4-X is available in the Cutting Edge bonus series part of the Legend group. This vehicle was added in the McLaren Overflow Update (v4.7) released in November 2016 and is unlocked as soon as Cutting Edge is unlocked or by completing the Formula Future special event.

This vehicle can be acquired for 1,200 .

What is the minimum PR / upgrades required[]

RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race):
Since Generations, if the players car is far below the recommended PR level the bots run impossible times. Once the car is upgraded the bots return to normal times. Slowing the bots works, only when the PR requirements are close. Some goals have fixed top bots. Possible upgrade strategies:

No. Description Upgrade R$
1 Upgrade the car with R$ and pay (30/40/50 ) to skip impossible goals 1121111 ~R$1.2m ~0-300+
2 Upgrade the car with R$ then buy close to the recommended for Stage 8 PR 140.6
UG 3323332
~R$2.4m 495
3 Upgrade the car with R$ then , then R$ until PR?? is reached for Cutting Edge. Maybe -1 Suspension and Exhaust (7434342) ~R$5.0m ~1,185
4 Fully upgrade the car for McLaren MP4-X (Exclusive Series) Fully Upgraded
(7444442)
~R$6,8 1,565
Wooden Pig Zzz managed to complete with 10 upgrades, posting on a Chinese forum, which RR3'tyoloo kindly translated:
To get past 8.3, he upgraded to 1321111 spending 90 gold.

For 8.4, he found Magnus incredibly fast and tried upgrading to 6321111 and despite getting near to him, he could not win the race. This might be the gold trap and decided to skip for 70 gold.

Conclusion:

For experienced drivers, 2 ways to win the car.

1. Upgrade to 1321111 and skip 8.4. Overall, net loss of 20 gold.

2. Skip 8.3 and 8.4 for 140 gold. Even cost overall.

For new drivers, they are answered by the Fandom User directly below Sirebel's.

Basically, he didn't try to pass 8.4 by upgrading and just skip it entirely.
