The PORSCHE 718 BOXSTER/BOXSTER S was released in 2016, with first model availability scheduled for June 2016. The 718 features two new horizontally-opposed flat-4 turbocharged engines at 2.0L and 2.5L displacement with increased torque and horsepower, higher rpm limit, and lower fuel consumption. The S model turbocharger utilizes Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) technology.

The facelift model, known as 718 CAYMAN, was unveiled worldwide in April 2016, and marketed in the US for the 2017 model year. The base CAYMAN is powered by an all-new 4-cylinder turbocharged 2.0-litre engine, while motor for the CAYMAN S is 2.5-litre turbocharged flat four.

Availability

The PORSCHE CAYMAN S is available in 2 series:

• Factory Faceoff bonus series in the Expert group
• Spirit of 59 bonus series in the Elite group

This vehicle was added in the Daytona 500 2017 Update (v5.1.0) released in Feb 2017 and can be unlocked by earning 17 trophies in Factory Faceoff or as soon as Spirit of 59 is unlocked (its Showcase can be unlocked with 8 trophies and another one of the cars in Spirit of 59).

This vehicle can be acquired for 290 or 232 with showcase discount. It has also been available for 245 as a 'Get it Now' price, unlocking Factory Faceoff.

This vehicle was available to win in the following special event:
