The Porsche 911 GT3 R, introduced in May 2018, is a new iteration of the 911 GT3 R based on the 991.2 GT3 RS, available for customer teams for the 2019 season of Group GT3. Its 4.0-litre flat-six boxer engine, largely identical to the unit used in the GT3 and GT3 RS street cars and GT3 Cup and RSR race cars, develops approx. 405 kW (551 PS; 543 hp). This car won the 2019 Bathurst 12 Hour with drivers Matt Campbell, Dennis Olsen, and Dirk Werner.
A 992 GT3 R model is set to succeed the 991.2 GT3 R in 2023.

The PORSCHE 911 GT3 R is available in 3 series:
- GT3 Exhibition motorsports series in the GT3 group;
- 2020 Season (GT3) motorsports series in the GT3 group;
- Porsche 911 GT3 R (Exclusive Series) road collection series in the Exclusive Series group.
This vehicle was added in the GT3 Update (v8.4) released in May 2020 and is unlocked as soon as 2020 Season (GT3) is unlocked.
This vehicle can be acquired for 1,300,000, with a shipping time of 23 hours. It has also been available for 780,000 as a 'Get it Now' price, unlocking 2020 Season (GT3)
