The Porsche 911 GT3 R, introduced in May 2018, is a new iteration of the 911 GT3 R based on the 991.2 GT3 RS, available for customer teams for the 2019 season of Group GT3. Its 4.0-litre flat-six boxer engine, largely identical to the unit used in the GT3 and GT3 RS street cars and GT3 Cup and RSR race cars, develops approx. 405 kW (551 PS; 543 hp).

- GT3 Exhibition motorsports series in the GT3 group.
- 2020 Season (GT3) motorsports series in the GT3 group.
