It didn't sound like it would be a quick fix. There is something inherently wrong that they have to find a fix for and while it is prioritized now that you and SM raised the issue, the software engineers have to identify the cause and code a fix.
If your account is clean and you feel like following up on this, DM Matt on Reddit. I don't know if he will respond to you, but he may be interested in getting more data. They have a way of checking your telemetry data with your game id.
Yes, and he wouldn’t be starting p2 in a full-on field if he were.
Thanks for your help, Amrosa, I do appreciate it. I would like to know what the problem is if/when they figure it out and you’re allowed to say.
As for giving the monkeys my player id, I just don’t trust them that much, especially if they consider things like perpetual enduros cheating. I’m sure Jan can give them all the data they need for this.
Most of the TSMs are correct, and run faster than auralpod. In the past the slow TSMs were usually gridded near the back (and thus less disruptive), and being (ex-)teammates who said they ran unserviced you can see how I reached that conclusion.
C-X75 ES race 17.3 was more unusual to have the slow TSM gridded 2nd, which spoils the whole race and prompted my post.
Possibly related, I just ran into a bot named Jojo76 (or something) in the NSX ES Berlin Cup with Mugwumps livery and avatar. He was 3rd from last, not up front. Maybe some bug is swapping appearances, lap speeds, and positions when building a field.
I’ve had bots take on tsm names before, but only in something like a speed snap where I am struggling to beat a very fast tsm and then after a few retries, it removes that tsm’s speed but gives their avatar to a slow, offline bot. I’ve never seen it in an on track race or without retrying.
That's about my circumstance. I've been chasing you most of the ES. I got 2nd (or so) about 5-6 straight times, beat you once or twice only to be beaten by another TSM. Then "you"/jojo were at tha back of the pack.
Never noticed that happen before. I have had problem bots eventually go away.
It didn't take convincing. I had been thinking about looking for a new team so his post was well-timed. With the realignment of the speed teams, SHTX got left holding the short stick, unfortunately. It was getting annoying FU'ing the cars and putting in a decent run when only 5 people on the team were contributing. We weren't even making it to the gold team rewards, it was just sad.
I understand your frustration on DH considering his replies on (very) old posts. Although it's totally irrelevant, it's not something the admin team 'can' edit/remove/change. We do not censor these kind of posts.
Well, on his wall, it is clear he has been warned several times, and even banned temporarily, for posting to years-old comments. I'm not sure what has changed or why he seems to have a protected status, as many of his posts, even when relevant, are ill-spirited or just flat wrong and if you point out the error, he makes personal attacks. And that is to say nothing of his Nazi vinyls.
Anyway, thanks for your efforts on the wiki and taking the time to respond to me.
If I may chime in- he wasn't banned for posting to old comments, it was for wrong data posted related to the game itself. We cannot guess or fabricate numbers (including approximations or calculations). Bans are not taken lightly as the goal is to have free forum discussions without stifling any user's ideas, regardless of how far out it may seem.
The line IMO is 1)outright spam, 2) users badgering users, and 3)incorrect data posted for cars and events (not necessarily in that order).
Ok, fair enough. Clearly responding to old comments is noted on his wall by both RomGuy and MichaelP. It is kind of funny (sad) to read through his wall, as it is the same issues being raised over and over again, for over 2 years.
Hey there, I'm working with a motorsport currently and we're producing some content around Real Racing 3. Do you have an email/twitter I can contact you on? Would love to get you involved as you've set some great times in time trials. Thanks!
