Our current admin team works closely together using Google Hangouts as a mechanism for offline communications. It was shocking to see you suddenly appear, just to change the homepage without even posting on one of our walls to see if we had any input regarding your public announcement.

We agree as a team consensus that this wiki should be a forum for anything directly related to the game. This used to be your same philosophy.

Please revert your homepage change to remove the public notification? We're asking this as a team. Thank you.
You are welcome to join us as your insights would be priceless for future objectives of the wiki. Let me know if you want to become active again- welcome with open arms.

  • Alright Kuzz, wanted to ask a few questions as I'm either unaware on how to do a task or want to avoid stepping on your toes:

-I've changed the story in Special Events to use the Quote template, I wanted to ask if you knew how to change the position of the quote symbol, in order to have the end quote symbol being at the bottom right instead of top right. It's less obvious with small quotations but looks iffy with large ones.

-12+ Cyl Slam / 12+ Cylinder Slam. I noticed that you may have been the first to employ the actual meaning of the title, over the name given in-game. I was going to change it to the in-game name but didn't want to do that before knowing whether you were ok with it.

-Clash Of The Classics / Masters of Speed. Two different conventions, which one is to be used?

-Category pages: a lot of edits recently have been to do with those, to the point where the links are getting cross-referenced all over the place: category pages leading back to themselves, or other category pages, or even category pages of articles categorised within the first category page... etc. Since I don't want to enforce the wrong thing, what's your advice in this situation? I thought category pages would not have categories unless it's a sub-category, but at this point I'm not sure what's what.

    Cheers.

    • Additionally and following on convention: R$ isn't always situated the same, i.e. R$ X, R$X, XR$ or X R$. It doesn't help that RR3 don't use one of the four options exclusively but the one that appears most is R$X (Completion rewards in career and special events). Is it ok to switch templates to this format?

I asked a while back if it was worth having R$ as unit within special challenges. It causes issues with Endurance rewards as it makes the main R$ reward span two lines (quick fix by User:RR3 Michael P by making the whole reward smaller, not just the unit). However, it's not included in race series.

If these are things you've considered and decided against then fair enough, but if you don't have the time then I can do it myself :)

  • Hi Kuzz,

Welcome back, I'm glad you have returned, you have done allot for this site and set a high standard to aspire too.

As you appeared to have stopped as our Admin, the process to adopt Admin Duties was started first by Guillejarque and later by myself, see Thread:41161, this was the start of the process, nothing would have happened until 60 days of inactivity, please do not see this as a mutiny, as the captain had appeared to have left the ship :)

I would like to offer support for Admin Duties, if you want or need any.

    Regards

    Michael.

    • Hi Kuzz, I'm a little disappointed not to be added to your admin team, I'm interested to know if there's any particular reason? I can speculate, but thought it better to ask you to understand your view.

    • Hi Kuzz, while you were away I tried to contact SynergyShade3624, see Thread:41158 regarding Admin duties. Syn has made me an Admin today, I should have taken down the post on Syn's wall when you returned, my mistake. I wanted to check this is OK with you, if not I will downgrade my account.

  • As you know, you are the only admin in the wiki. Could you tell if I can be an admin? I want to be.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Kuzz,

I have been working on a template page for the tip and FAQ : RR3 Wiki:Tips and FAQ Template, I'm sure you don't mind that. What I wanted to pass by you is the template for a Race series page : RR3 Wiki:Series Template this can be used to create a standard race series page, keep it consistent, with the new style templates. I know you don't like new pages to be pre-filled / outlined, but this Race Series Template could be used to create a new page, if you can allow the pre-filled new page, for a short time, while the data is being added, I think it will help contributes and keep the new pages consistent.

I'm also thinking of a template for car and challenge pages. If FM spring an update on us the templates can be used as page outlines, very quickly, ready for the keen contributors, we have attracted to this site, to add the data.

    What are your thoughts?

    • I've already prepared one named Template:H/series, it's hidden though.

    • How does the Template:H/series work?

I'm planning to do a car page template and challenge page template next. I don't want to duplicate any work.

Are you looking to do these?

If not, can I create them e.g. Template:H/car and Template:H/challenge?

Or as RR3 Wiki:Car Template and RR3 Wiki:Challenge Template, and you covert them to templates?

  • Alright? Wanted to get your opinion on the "Differs" rewards in FAP400. I thought of two solutions (as it just looks incomplete). Either:

-Work out the rewards based on other races in that event (e.g. Fame on RIR is 200/lap) and maybe use an asterisk along with an explanation underneath the concerned tables to indicate that reward is pretty much out of reach (unless extensive bot-slowing techniques are used)

    OR

-Work out the minimum reward by finishing in the lowest position possible whilst still fulfilling the goal (e.g. ≥2,650R$)

Hopefully you find one of the two options to be an improvement. I also wanted to point out that the "R$" in the cell maybe doesn't need to be there? It is, after all, in the column heading and makes the cell too wide for Endurance events, spliting the main R$ reward over two lines.
