McLAREN F1® TEAM is the FORMULA 1® racing team operated by McLaren Racing Limited, a British motor racing venture based at the McLAREN Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey, England. The McLAREN team is the second oldest active and the second most successful team in Formula 1® (after Ferrari). It debuted during the 1966 season and scored its first win in the 1968 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, with founder Bruce McLaren behind the wheel. To date, McLAREN F1® TEAM has won 182 races, 12 Drivers' Championships and 8 Constructors' Championships. Among drivers who represented McLAREN over the years are World Champions Emerson Fittipaldi, James Hunt, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Mika Häkkinen and Lewis Hamilton. In 1985, McLaren Racing Limited established McLaren Cars, its own automotive brand, whose first product was the legendary McLAREN F1.
Following the departure of Carlos Sainz, Jr. to Ferrari, the driver lineup for 2021 and 2022 is Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris. Between 2018 and 2020, McLAREN F1® TEAM used engines supplied by RENAULT. Starting in the 2021 season, McLAREN F1® cars are powered by MERCEDES-BENZ engines - like those run by Aston Martin, Williams and (of course) Mercedes itself. The current driver lineup for 2023 is Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.

- As of the 2021 season, every McLAREN F1® car reused the RENAULT/ALPINE engine audio, as opposed to a MERCEDES engine sound, given how the team now uses MERCEDES as McLAREN's main powertrain for their F1® cars from that point on.
