The McLAREN F1 is a supercar designed and manufactured by McLAREN Cars. Originally a concept conceived by Gordon Murray, he convinced Ron Dennis to back the project and engaged Peter Stevens to design the exterior and interior of the car. On 31 March 1998, it set the record for the world's fastest production car, reaching 231 mph (372 km/h) with the rev limiter enabled, and 242.8 mph (390.7 km/h) with the rev limiter removed. It held this record until being surpassed in 2005 by the BUGATTI VEYRON 16.4.

Production began in 1992 and ended in May 1998. In all, 106 cars were manufactured, with some variations in the design. A track version McLAREN F1 GTR competed from 1995 until its chassis were retired. It featured a 6.1 L V12 (60°) BMW engine (called "S70/2").

Its successor is the McLAREN P1™.

Availability

The McLAREN F1 is available in 4 series:

• Vanguard Challenge career series in the Elite group
• 12+ Cyl Slam bonus series in the Elite group
• High-Rev Rush bonus series in the Elite group
• Concept vs Production bonus series in the Legend group

This vehicle can be unlocked by earning 15 trophies in Vanguard Challenge or 16 trophies in High-Rev Rush, or by earning 11 trophies in Concept vs Production.

This vehicle can be acquired for 1,250,000 or 1,000,000 with showcase discount, with a shipping time of 20 hours. It has also been available for 550  as a 'Get it Now' price, unlocking 12+ Cyl Slam, High-Rev Rush, and Concept vs Production
