The MERCEDES-AMG GT BLACK SERIES is the most powerful AMG V8 series engine of all time, the most expressive design, the most elaborate aerodynamics, the most intelligent material mix, the most distinctive driving dynamics. With the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine with dry sump lubrication, it achieves 537 kW (730 hp) at 6700-6900 rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 800 Nm at 2000-6000 rpm, the MERCEDES-AMG GT BLACK SERIES delivers exhilarating acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, 0-200 km/h in under 9 seconds and a top speed is 325 km/h.

In November 2020, Mercedes-AMG driver Maro Engel set a lap time of 6:43.616 in the car at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, beating the time set in July 2018 by Marco Mapelli in LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR SVJ and September 2017 by Lars Kern in PORSCHE 911 GT2 RS. The BLACK SERIES' Nordschleife record would be broken by the Mercedes-AMG ONE on the 10th of November 2022.
