The LAMBORGHINI HURACÁN LP 610-4's name (HURACÁN being the Spanish word for hurricane) is inspired by a Spanish fighting bull, similar to various other LAMBORGHINI car models. HURACÁN was a bull known for its courage that fought in 1879. Also HURACAN is the Mayan god of wind, storm and fire. Changes from the GALLARDO included full LED illumination, a 12.3 inch full-colour TFT instrument panel, Fine Nappa leather and Alcantara interior upholstery, redesigned dashboard and central tunnel, Iniezione Diretta Stratificata (IDS, essentially an adapted version of parent AUDI's Fuel Stratified Injection) direct and indirect gasoline injections, engine Stop & Start technology, EU6 emissions regulation compliance, LAMBORGHINI Doppia Frizione (LDF) 7-speed dual clutch transmission with 3 modes (STRADA, SPORT and CORSA), 20 inch wheels, carbon-ceramic brake system, optional LAMBORGHINI Dynamic Steering variable steering system and MagneRide electromagnetic damper control. The LAMBORGHINI HURACÁN 610-4 uses a 5.2 L naturally aspirated AUDI/LAMBORGHINI V10 engine borrowed from the LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO which produces 602 bhp (brake horsepower).

In 2024 August, its successor is launched at Monterey Car Week, the Temerario. The Temerario features a newest twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 plug-in hybrid setup with three electric motors. Total output is 920PS (677kW, 907 bhp) with a brand new 8-speed DCT Gearbox, the Temerario delivers exhilarating acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 343 km/h.

This vehicle was added in the Hypercars Update (v4.0) released in November 2015 and can be unlocked by earning 7 trophies in International Power-Match, 17 trophies in Superfast Supercars or as soon as Automotive Mastery, 720S Proving Grounds, or Track Power Trio is unlocked.

This vehicle can be acquired for 450 or 360 with showcase discount. It has also been available for 315  as a 'Get it Now' price, unlocking International Power-Match, Automotive Mastery, 720S Proving Grounds, Superfast Supercars, Road to GT3 and Track Power Trio.

This vehicle was available to win in these following special events:
