The Furai Rising is a Flashback Event in Real Racing 3. It gives players the chance to win the Mazda Furai.
The Furai Rising is part of Round 3, Season 4 of Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale Update (v13.0), and can be accessed through the Round Hub button on the Home tab.

This Event is available to start from Monday, December 30th, 2024, until the Round ends on Monday, January 13th, 2025 at 20:00 UTC. When the Round ends, the Event will be locked, unless the Event has been started before the end of the Round and the 8-day term is not over. Acquiring the car unlocks the Event, and completion rewards are obtainable still.
Since the player has owned the car, the Flashback is available for completion, until the Round is expired[2] on (provisional) Tuesday, July 29th, 2025.

This is a recommended[3] PR event, so the player is allowed to enter any race regardless of the car's PR.

The Event consists of eight Stages. The next Stage unlocks immediately after the previous stage is completed.

The player is granted with free and instant car service and instant upgrades R&D, which are available within 3 hours of entering the Event, before the end of the Round[4].

To win the car, the player must complete the Flashback within 8 days (24 x 8 = 192 hours) from the moment of entry. During this period, the countdown is displayed on the event schedule card (bottom scrolling ribbon) in the Round Hub. If time runs out, the player will not earn a car, although the event will remain open for completion, and other rewards (see below) are obtainable still.

If original Special Event was (partially) completed:

Dramatic?! Of course, this is the Mazda Furai! Born again: this mythical car was snuffed out before it could reach its true potential. Eric and I would like to see it become what it was meant to be.

What Ahmed means to say is - tomorrow we're heading to Nürburgring. We've organised for one of the original Porsche 918 Spyder Concepts to face us in a duel!

Rivalry
[]

Quote Eric
Way back in 2008, when the Furai was first revealed, it was being compared to the plans for the Porsche 918 Spyder, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and the Jaguar C-X75. There were high hopes for it!

Sadly, the one and only model of the Furai met a tragic end... But with Ahmed's connections, and my incredible - unbelievable - skill, we've brought it back!

Now we just need to prove that it's up to speed with where it was back in 2008 - by defeating it's original rival, the 918 Spyder Concept.

Speaking of what it was, I've set up a bit of tangent tomorrow. Nothing major... We'll just be heading to Le Mans to race Mazda's legendary 1991 787B, the very inspiration behind the Furai!

Stage 04
Inspiration
[]

Quote Eric
To understand the Furai, you must first understand its history. The Furai was the fifth and final model in the Mazda Nagare line - a revolutionary series intended to celebrate natural and organic car designs.

Added to that, the Furai's wearing the number 55, which was the same number won by the legendary winner of the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 787B! Great things were expected of the Furai...

...so I brought you to Le Mans to meet those expectations! Not only are we testing the Furai on Le Mans, but we're testing it against the 787B, and the 787B's main competitors in Group C!

The Curva Grande, the Curva di Lesmo, the Variante Ascari and the Curve Parabolica - like the Venus de Milo, the Autodromo Nazionale Monza is a work of playful lines and curves.

And the Sesto Elemento, born from Sant'Agata Bolognese, just a few hours from where we stand, is our opponent.

You have no idea how long I have waited for this showdown - a titanic battle that was always meant to be, and yet forever denied by the Hands of Fate! Ahem, please excuse my prose - I am a little excited.

Quote Eric
As I said, we've got work left to do on the Furai before it's ready to face the Jaguar C-X75, and then the final event at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. So why are we here in Catalunya?

Well, the long stretches of Catalunya will help us tune the Furai to be competitive with the C-X75's impressive top speed and acceleration...

...and the climate and fickle wind conditions are very similar to those at Laguna Seca.
