Complete the Formula E BMW i Berlin E-Prix 2020 5-day special event, for your chance to earn a new Season 6 Formula E Race Car!
— Natalia, Agent

Formula E BMW i Berlin E-Prix is an event in Real Racing 3. It gives the players a chance to win one of the following 12 new cars:

after Le Mans & Formula E Update (v8.5) was updated. Formula E BMW i Berlin E-Prix starts June 21st 2020[1].

The cars have been added to Season 6 (2019-20) in the Formula E group.

The five Stages of this Special Event are a typical Formula E racing weekend for the player to go through, driving their chosen Season 6 Formula E Race Car on Formula E Berlin Circuit: Shakedown (Stage 1), Practice (Stage 2), Qualification (Stage 3) and Race (Stages 4 & 5). Every next Stage unlocks at midnight the player's local time.

Stage 01 (Shakedown)

Players who successfully complete all of the goals given in the first stage (Shakedown) are rewarded with 30,000 and 5 . Throughout the first stage, players will have to race their chosen Formula E car on Formula E Berlin Circuit. The car's power will be reduced for this stage.

Quote Michael
Welcome to Tempelhof Airport! The airfield may no longer be active, but the vast amount of space allows us to create an amazing track.

You've got a shakedown session today to help prepare for tomorrow's busy schedule-you've got Practice, Qualifying and the E-Prix in one day! I'll leave you to Eric to bring you up to speed.
— Michael, Manager
Quote Eric
Today's Shakedown is different to the other sessions-all cars must run at a reduced power level, we can't learn too much about the track conditions. We can still run some tests, though!
— Eric, Auto Engineer
Quote Natalia
You have been lent the [chosen Season 6 Formula E Race Car].

All Tuning will only apply within this Event, however Driver XP & VIP are permanent, and will apply in future events.

Great driving-we're now going to check our car's energy recovery settings. Your battery usage will be on the HUD so you can understand how much energy you're using in real-time.

If you're not already, you will need to drive with manual acceleration enabled. Our default control preference is Tilt B, but you can experiment with a different layout within the Controls menu in Settings.

Great effort! Formula E racing is about striking a balance between overall speed and energy usage-it's not too different to an endurance race with fuel management.

It does come with the added benefit of no pitstops, too. You can recharge your car while racing at the same time!

Anyway, we've got a busy day tomorrow, so get some rest and we'll get this car sorted in time for the E-Prix.
— Eric, Auto Engineer

Stage 02 (Practice)

Players who successfully complete all of the goals given in the second stage (Practice) are rewarded with 35,000 and 5 . Throughout the second stage, players will have to race their chosen Formula E car on Formula E Berlin Circuit.

Quote Michael
Good morning, champ! Are you charged up and ready to go? Because I am! You'll be experiencing the Tempelhof Airport circuit at full power today, so get in there and show the team what you've got!
— Michael, Manager
Quote Eric
Thanks Michael for giving our driver a pep talk-at least I'm awake now...

We've got a Practice session to get through before Qualifying. As it's only 30 minutes long, we need to keep to a tight schedule to get all the data we need for Qualifying and the Race.

Quote Michael
Impressive driving, Champ! Don't get too comfortable, though-you'll be out there very soon for Qualifying!

While you've got some downtime, have a think about your energy management and where the best spots are to recharge the battery. Unlike Practice, you won't have have a safety net in Qualifying or the Race!
— Michael, Manager

Stage 03 (Qualifying)

Players who successfully complete all of the goals given in the third stage (Qualifying) are rewarded with 50,000 and 10 . Throughout the third stage, players will have to race their chosen Formula E car on Formula E Berlin Circuit.

Quote Eric
It's Qualifying time! In Formula E, teams are divided into four groups of six cars-this frees up space on the track for you to do your best possible lap.

This does come at the cost of one important thing... Time. We have six minutes to get out on track, get some heat into the tires, and set our best possible lap.

Once everybody gets their laps in, the top times will get put into a one lap shootout-the Super Pole! I'm sure we'll be able to get you there!

Quote Eric
As I've said in Practice today, energy management is critical for this race. Throughout the race, you'll be given a certain amount of energy to use over several laps.

You must make sure to not exceed this amount. If you do, we won't make it to the end of the race-we're not to allowed to recharge the car, remember!
