The Formula E® 2022 New York City E-Prix is the second (and probably the last) event of the Formula E® 8th Season in Real Racing 3. It gives players the chance to win a Season 8 Formula E® Car of their choice.
Formula E® 2022 New York City E-Prix is part of Round 9, Season 1 of Valhalla Update (v10.5), and can be accessed through the Round Hub button on the Home tab.
This Event is available to start from Thursday, July 7th 2022, until the Round ends on Monday, August 1st 2022 at 20:00 UTC. When the Round ends, the Event will be locked, unless the Event has been started before the end of the Round and 5-day term is not over. Acquiring a Season 8 Formula E® Car unlocks the Event, and completion rewards are obtainable still.
Since the player has owned at least one a Season 8 Formula E® Car, the Event is available for completion without foreseeable time limit.
The player can participate in any Formula E® Season 8 event with any car, already owned, previously used in a Special Event, or not. Ability to take the same car into multiple Special Events is noted as the main purpose of renewed Motorsports.
The five Stages of this Special Event are a typical Formula E ePrix for the player to go through, driving their chosen car on Formula E New York Circuit: Free Practice 1 (Stage 2), Free Practice 2 (Stage 3), Qualifying (Stage 4) and Race (Stage 5), supplemented by fictional Shakedown session (Stage 1) the day before.
Each following Stage unlocks immediately upon completion of the previous one.
Neither Instant car service nor upgrades R&D is provided for this Event.

Completion Rewards[]

- Win a Season 8 Formula E® Car
- Earn the Formula E High Grip Tuning Setup
- Get bonus
- Unlock Season 8 (2021-22)
Formula E Season 8 Car[]
To win a car, the player must complete the event within 5 days (24 x 5 = 120 hours) from the moment of entry. During this period, the countdown is displayed on the event schedule card (bottom scrolling ribbon) in the Round Hub. The remaining days and hours are displayed rounded and change every half day, then half hour, and so on. If time runs out, the player will not earn a car, although the event will remain open for completion, and other rewards (see below) are obtainable still, and currency bonuses are likely to be larger.

The player can choose any car that isn't owned yet on the final "Event Complete. Choose Your Car" dialog of the event regardless of the car used to win the event.
Obtaining any car unlocks Season 8 (2021-22).
Tuning Setup (reward)[]
Although the player purchases Tuning Steps for the full price, the game presents resulting Setup as a reward, available after the Special Event for any car within the same Motorsport group via Tuning Setup Inventory.
The player is rewarded with the Tuning Setup as soon as the event is completed.
