Formula 1® Academy was added in Formula 1 Update (v8.0) and replaces Racing School Basics which has been removed.

This event is run with the FORMULA 1® F1® DEBUT CAR which you are loaned during the event ... all upgrades, customizations and VIP will remain on the car if/when you acquire it. Reward varies with the player's current balance.

Stage 01 (Get on Track)

Engine Upgrade

Whether or not you win Goal 2 you are taken to the Upgrades screen and forced to do the first Engine upgrade.

The game will suggest you skip the delivery time by paying 12,200.

Do NOT be tempted to wait or you'll get stuck in the Engine Upgrade section. Even if you do more engine upgrades you cannot exit the screen! Pay the 12,200 to skip the delivery time. You can then do further/other upgrades.

IMPORTANT: On completing Formula 1® Academy you will receive a bonus of 500,000 less your current balance which (putting aside the daily limit of 250,000 in event rewards) means you might as well have a few goes to get used to the FORMULA 1® F1® DEBUT CAR and apply as many upgrades as you can afford. And it won't matter that you wasted on that first upgrade!

Completion

You will receive a completion bonus of 500,000 less current your balance i.e. you will have 500,000 on completion of Formula 1® Academy.
