Here is day 1 just as I ran it, no editing. I tried to lower the Speed Snap target in stage 4 but that wasn't possible. So I made sure to come last place in each event to keep the bot targets low going forward.

ME7 is probably going for a low upgrade strategy, I will try an upgrade strategy to 3333323 @ 300 Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted and see how the bot times compare.

  • 1.1 Win this 2 lap cup at Brands, driving the 675LT.
1st 1:44.507 v 1:45.212 Jacob, I held up the bots on both laps, at the hairpin. used 4 bar of damage
  • 1.2 Finish 8th @ Brands, driving the 675LT.
1. 8th 2:14.209 v Jacob, again held up the bots at the hairpin and waited by the line for a while, then retry, to win. used 4 bar of damage
2. 1st 1:52.794 v Jacob, held up the bots and won. used 4 bar of damage

Car: McLAREN 720S COUPE PR61.5 0/28, bought all level 1 R$ upgrades.

  • 1.3 Brands Hatch win with a rolling start
1st 1:40.062 v 1:40.522 Ahmed, driving the 720S at last, with a rolling start, it took me a lap to pass Ahmed, then held him up in the hairpin, used 4 bar of damage
  • 1.4.3, Win one of these events OR complete them all, I chose the Hunter, as I can finish close to 1st and win by a small margin, although the car will take more damage.
1st +19yd v Michael +18yd, I managed to catch the Nissan at the last turn and deliberately rear ended it, causing it to half spin. I then maintained a very close gap to first place, by feathering the throttle, to the line, used 3 bar of damage

Reward: 5 Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted, I had a connection error, so didn’t actually see all the rewards, my Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted is +5

Here's all of day 2 from beginning to end. I opened the hunter event just to see if my car needed servicing or not. It was good to go. I blew it on race 2.3 the first time unserviced but thought I'd give it a second try before servicing my car. Made a lot of mistakes, better the 2nd time.

  • 2.1.2 Autocross @ Spa - Win one of these events OR complete them all

  • 2.2 Cup @ Spa - Finish within 2:54
1st 2:45.980 v 2:47.739 Emma, the race started with a rolling start, I was in the lead with about five corners to go and waited by the line. Emma was approaching fast so had to cross the line earlier than the target, this was a mistake, as I only had to finish within 2:54 (ME7 finished 3rd), used all 14 bar of damage, 0 remaining.

  • 2.3 Cup @ Spa - Win without getting stuck behind Ahmed for more than 5 seconds
1) 2nd 2:41.430 v 1st 2:39.118 Ahmed, I had an off at Bruxelles, just missed Ahmed, he was going into turn 1 as I crossed the line, used 0 bar of damage, try again, still trashed.
2) 1st 2:38.616 v 2:29.401 Ahmed, better run this time, no offs, I caught Ahmed Going into the final chicane I cut the grass and past him only 0.1 seconds registered, used 0 bar of damage, slowed by the line to win by a small margin, serviced.

5.4 The skid at the start saves a lot of time. It will slow you down faster than brakes alone and faster than going into a sideways skid and flooring it. Have the brakes on before it even starts. make a slight right, then left, then hard right to slide sideways & stay on track. Do not get on the gas yet! If you get on the gas too early you will waste a bunch of time spinning your tires. Wait until you're almost at a complete stop then get on the gas and try not to spin the tires. Now you just need to avoid traffic which is hard because they come very fast!

6.1 is not too hard with R$ only. One lap, one second of off track, 1:32 to complete the race. I didn't get the braking point snail down so I certainly could have done better.

6.2 is quite easy so I'm not even going to post a video for it. Finish at least third in three Cup races are Finish First in one. Mainly for the interest of time I chose to finish first in one of them. You're allowed 2 seconds of off-track and there is no time limit.

Real_Racing_3,_Relentless_Event_Stage_6.3

Real Racing 3, Relentless Event Stage 6.3

6.3 is hard, having trouble. Speed Record event at Circuit de Catalunya National. It says no off track but that's not true, it gives you a 1 second counter. The problem is there's a time limit. It's easy to reach the finish line by the time limit but I can't find a place to hit top speed on the track. There is absolutely no time to turn around at the start and get a good run on the start-finish straight. I think it's possible with R$ only, I just have to get a really good run through the last corner.

I've been trying 6.3 for over an hour now and that's enough for me. I leave it to you Speed Junkie, I'm upgrading further. I think it is possible with R$ only, maybe less. I'm coming up 3 kph short at 1111121.

Upgraded to 1131121.

6.4 is nowhere near as hard as it first seems. Could easily do it with very few upgrades if any at all. At the start of the race you have to get off the gas before you hit average speed. Then just take the same cuts I did and keep your eyes on your average speed. If your average speed is at 168 kph but you're traveling at 270 kph you're going to go over the average speed in just a few more seconds. You have to feather the throttle a lot to keep it below. 1131121

HV2308 P (WTTT D-E, PR 3333323, no assists, manual settings)

6.4 -at the rolling start, Ahmed is nowhere to be seen. His threat is mainly when you are slowing for corners

-He comes up fast from behind as you are braking for the hairpin after the first long straight.

-be sure not to leave a gap on the inside, and hit the throttle as early as possible when you exit

-danger of exceeding the average speed is on the first long straight you enter. If you slow too much before the corner, Ahmed will close right up and probably overtake. I found blocking harder than in the regular game.

-getting as many cars between you and Ahmed makes sense. Although he did appear again towards the end in the bendy section before the straight.

The danger moments for both exceeding speed and Ahmed are in the first 20 seconds IMO

No assists, no TC. Tilt B setting.

6.1: errr... This was rather challenging. However, two actions will help very much. First, charge up to the first high speed corner, then brake late, charging into the pack at the first corner. This should get you to at least 3rd place (or above) and should not give you any off road penalty. Then pass the 3rd and 2nd placers on the second high speed corner, and then pass the first placer on the outside of the following corner, only releasing the throttle ever so slightly. Then, cut through the final chicane as fast as possible, I got a 0.7 second off road penalty, which was below the limit. Drive to victory.

6.2: I did the GP track, due to the familarity. See tips for 6.1. Pull out all the stops and focus on getting the fastest laps possible. Do note that the cars are faster than the cars in 6.1.

6.3: I got so mad that I skipped it. However, after the first corner, try not to brake and only slightly lift the throttle if needed (that shouldn't happen). Then try to beat all the competitor's speeds and intentionally crash into a barrier at the end of the straight. Then take the pit lane to the left, merge on the track, and then drive yourself to victory, taking note of the time limit.

6.4: Another difficult one. This one I managed to get done earlier than expected. What I did was to try to use as much speed as possible, coming very close to the speed average limit. I also braked earlier than usual. Deaccelerate until you reach the first straightway you will encounter in this race, then go full throttle until you reach the end of the wall. Brake to around 70 mph and cut the corner to the left. Then cut through the chicane as fast as possible, passing anybody up to and including Fynn. Brake. Accelerate down the following straight until you get closer to Anna right before the first corner. Deaccelerate through the first 2 turns, watching out for a charging Ahmed. At the 3rd high speed corners in the beginning, try to pass Anna before the 4th corner. Cut as many corners as possible, this not only gives you an advantage, it forces Ahmed to fall behind, as he doesn't cut corners, and helps you to lower your average speed. In addition, pass as many cars as possible, as Ahmed will get a slight delay from trying to pass them. Drive to victory.

8.1 -don't take the second last corner too fast. That way you can hit full throttle in the corner or just after. Last corner that gets you onto the straight can be taken flat out.

-take as wide a line as possible in the corners = make the time & distance to get up to speed as long as possible. Normally I cut the kerb on the inside of the corner getting you onto the straight. Now I took it as much to the right as possible

-don't do the straight in a straight line but veer from one side of the track to the other. No sudden weaving or skids, make sure you kan keep up maximum speed

66mazda

PR: 70.1

3331123

No assists, no TC, Tilt B setting

.1: Hugo got 170.06 MPH. I got around 170.2 MPH. Brake for the first corner at around the 10th rectangle on the right rumble strip, then veer left towards the apex of the sharp left turn, after passing that go full throttle. 8.2: The hardest one of this stage. I got 1:31:558. Here are some areas that are pretty concerning, in order from time of encounter.

  • Don't brake for the first 2 high speed corners. However, brake right after the second high speed corner for the sharp right turn ahead. For the sharp left turn after that, use the lessons learned in 8.1.
  • At the straight after the sharp left turn, brake right before the blue Brooklands building. After navigating through the left corner that follows it, brake right before the rumble strip starts for the right hand corner after the left hand corner, then stay as close to the strip as long as possible at around 91 MPH, around halfway through the corner, accelerate full throttle towards the straight.
  • Do brake before the first corner after the aformentioned straight, this saves you a ton of speed. Brake around 2/3 the way between the red starting sign and the aformentioned corner. Go full throttle through the 2 corners that follow it, brake right after the 2nd one. Then go as fast as possible towards the straight that follows these turns.
  •  Brake right after the second banner you see on the straight. Stay as close to the rumble strip for as long as possible in the following corner. Accelerate around 7/8th though the corner. At the final chicane, brake at the thin white line on the asphalt before the chicane, navigate through the first half, then take the second part wide and go full throttle towards the finish.

8.3: Easy. Use the lessons learned in 8.2 to make a much faster lap then Ahmed. He is rather flow in the first few corners, and is also pretty slow in the corners after the second starting line (see 3rd bullet point of 8.2 tip). I passed him in the corner after the second banner of the straight (see 4th bullet point of 8.2 tip), slingshotting past him on the inside, and nudging him for a split second. Do be careful not to drive off the road. In addition, Ahmed is prone to ramming you in the first 2 sharp turns of the event, this counts as a collision and mandates a redo.

8.4: Another easy one. Follow the tips from 8.2 for the first portion, staying ahead of Ahmed for 45 seconds straight. This should be done before the right hand turn before the straight with the second starting line (see 2nd bullet point of 8.2 tip). At that turn, wait for Ahmed to pass you, then tailgate him for 45 seconds for the rest of the track. I tried to bump him as much as possible to ensure that the goal was being met, try not to spin him out. That should be done during the final chicane at the latest.

Congrats!

Start / End Strategy[]

The player has 8 days to complete the 8 stages, the event is 8 days x 24 hours. The first stage will start the time the player starts it, the last stage will end 8 x 24 hours later. As stage 01 is normally straight forward and can be completed without an upgrade or service, it can be started late in the day, it doesn't matter if stage 01 isn't completed the first day, it can be continued the following day. Stage 02, will automatically unlock at midnight, but can only be raced once stage 01 is complete. Stage 03 will unlock at midnight the following day, and so on up to stage 8. In total there will be 8 x 24 hours = 192 hours to complete all stages.

Start Saturday 16th @ 7:30 PM the event will end 8 days x 24 hours later, Sunday @ 7:30 PM,

RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race tip):
I wouldn't recommend starting the event on the first day, Sun 10th, as many racers, who start as soon as the event opens, complain about bugs, which FM then fix! Instead, leave the start a day or two and let other people do the bug testing. Also, the tips and details can be filled in by the early adopters, so starting a day or two later gives a better heads up.

Ideally, for racers who are busy Monday to Friday and have the weekend free, the best day and time to start is as late as possible Saturday, as long as it's before midnight, meaning stage 8 of the event can be completed over two days, the following Saturday and Sunday. There maybe a short time to start this event! It maybe only open for 11 days, as the next event is expected Sep 22nd. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

How can I service the car when I already finished the day?[]

If the final car service is missed, after the final event on the day, the soonest it can service is at midnight (local time), when the next stage opens.

When is the last time I can start this Event?[]

The exact date is unknown, may only be 11 days!

The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at mid day or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

Will this event be added to the race career?[]

FM went through a spell of adding special events to the racing career, the last time a special event was added was September 2015 v3.6, NASCAR Academy was added directly to the NASCAR career, without previously being released as a Time Limited Event (TLE). Previous to that was April 2015 v3.3, with Redline: Origins and MotorFiesta 1. It is therefore unlikely this event will be added to the racing career.

Will the car be available to win in the future?[]

Final graph, I haven't done stage 8 yet but I can't see me needing to upgrade beyond the recommended based on the reviews. I appreciate that Jan's performance is exceptional but it would be nice to see a more linear investment requirement. I suspect a good driver should be able to follow a more gradual line up to around the 69/70 PR mark to win. Have fun.

  • What stage and event you are leaving a tip for, this can be shortened e.g. Tip for 1.3 is for stage 01 event 3
  • What problems you had and how to overcome the problems?
  • e.g. Can corners be cut?
  • Can an event be run with a broken car?
  • If so with what PR/upgrade?
  • What controls Tilt A / B?
  • What assists - brakes high / low /off? TC on / off?
  • Basically any tips that may be useful to other racers.
  • If you are anonymous feel free to sign a name or handle.

One of the editors will summarise them and add them to the relevant event if there is anything missing please post a comment or tip to Relentless Comments and let us know ;-)

Footnotes[]

  1. The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at midday or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time.

The best time to start is late in the day local time, as the next stage opens at midnight local time.

If the event is started 11PM Saturday September 16th (local time), the event can be completed 8x24 hours later, 11PM September 24th. Allowing almost two full days to complete the last stage.
