2.2 tip.
You get 1 lap. But if you drive backwards for a while, you can extend the race. This pays of in 2 ways:
- It gives you more distance to hit average speed.
- It lengthens the race time wise, which should keep the targets lower.

- 3.1 pretty simple. I'm continuing to lengthen the race is by blocking and crashing bots.
- 3.2 You can get a nice run at this one if you back up a little bit and use the start-finish area. Don't go any faster than you have to.
- 3.3 As you near the first corner just lift off the gas for 1-2 seconds right when the car in front of you brakes, then get full throttle ASAP. Watch your speed and nail the brakes as soon as hit the target speed. Get back into the gas quick or do a bounce off the wall like I did to carry a little more speed. Stay lined up with the other cars to stop you from going off track. You can also take a slight inside line and slide into them if you need to. This stage could be done without any contact but, where's the fun in that!
- 3.4 Definitely go with the option where you finish third. This should keep the targets lower in future races. I also messed around with the bots again to try to keep the targets lower in the future.

Day 4 done, still with just R$.
- No tips needed for 4.1, you can find it on my YouTube channel.
- 4.2 I stay full throttle until I near the first sharp corner. I was a little sloppy here and there. You have to take the off-track cut very well because there's just enough time to make it. That shaves at least 1 to 2 seconds off your time. Or run cleaner and skip the cut. the targets lower in the future.
- 4.3 Restarting a Hunter event always makes it easier. Sometimes a little easier, sometimes a lot easier. Check out this video for more on that.
- 4.4 took me awhile to figure out but it was worth it. Now I know some faster lines at this track. Take the outside line so you have more distance to build up average speed. I chose to overtake a lot of cars in the first few corners so I have less cars to deal with later.

- I know that on day 6 an autocross comes, where you need even more upgrades. That's why I chose the 3 that they do the most.

- 5.2 Yup, it's gold upgrade time for me. Tilt B, no assists.
- 5.3 Well this one took me quite a while. The first corner is critical. You have to brake after the Bots do with all four tires on track, then quickly steer so just two are on track and try to have a little bit of contact but not too much as you move into 5th Place... Hard. Then you need to set up the speed run just right in the back section. I hit it a couple of times without ramming the bot in front of me but it is nice to use that bot for security so you don't go off track. Tilt B, no assists
- 5.4 This stage was quite hard for me when I first started trying it. It got easier and easier the more I lost. So if it's hard for you, you might want to just let the timer run out and finish in last place about 20 times. Tilt B, no assists

- 6.1 I spent over an hour on this one. I found I had to damage the top cars to slow them down. The trick is not to take on any damage when you wreck them. Here's how: Just as you're spinning someone out, let off the gas so you're coasting. This will stop your windshield from breaking and you will keep your speed and acceleration. Tilt B, no assists
- 6.2 is torture. Mine also appears to be glitched. Speed Junkie had a target of 34.605. I have a target of 34.476! I made 34.496 with 1331311. I've gone to 3331311 but STILL can't beat it.
- 6.3 You can stay full throttle through the very first corner. Then brake late and use the bot to stay on track and carry some speed, just don't hit him hard enough to crack your windshield! Then just race hard and fast for the rest of it. I decided to take out the first place bot. Tilt B, no assists
- 6.4 The big crash at the front is on purpose. I damage the 3 fastest cars, but also damage myself in the process. Still, it was easier to catch up with them after I did this then when I tried to pass normally. Tilt B, no assists.
I finished today @ 3331312, will have 3rd level Tires & Wheels applied for tomorrow.

Unfortunately, day 7 is without sound since I recorded it with the iphone.
Day 7 would be possible with 3331111. You have to make Race 4. Where the speed already counts at 336. As you can see in the video, I reach 336 and go briefly from the pedal. Then reach 336 again and he does not count it unfortunately. Therefore, I had to install two upgrades, because I had to make the 336 again on the 4 straights. I have not found another line where to make it.

- 7.2 Took me about 30 min to figure the braking points out. I certainly could have done better, but this was good enough. Tilt B, no assists.
- 7.3 This was a bit challenging. The car gets looser and looser as you drive it, so you have to start braking where you never would. Make sure to stay in the line that the bots want to drive in. They will slow down a bit for you. If you aren't RIGHT in their way, they'll wreck you!
- 7.4 I tried to drop my speed and hit it a second time on the 1st straight but it didn't count. I had enough distance to hit it on the back straight so it didn't matter. I was going to hit the hunter car like I usually do but missed. Turns out I had way more than enough distance. Always restart a hunter event to get a bit of an advantage. For some reason it brings the hunter car closer to you. The effect is most drastic at Le Mans because it is such a long track. Tilt B, no assists.

Start / End Strategy[]
The player has 8 days to complete the 8 stages, the event is 8 days x 24 hours. The first stage will start the time the player starts it, the last stage will end 8 x 24 hours later. As stage 01 is normally straightforward and can be completed without an upgrade or service, it can be started late in the day, it doesn't matter if stage 01 isn't completed the first day, it can be continued the following day. Stage 02, will automatically unlock at midnight, but can only be raced once stage 01 is complete. Stage 03 will unlock at midnight the following day, and so on up to stage 8. In total there will be 8 x 24 hours = 192 hours to complete all stages.
For example:
Start Saturday @ 7:30 PM the event will end 8 days x 24 hours later, Sunday @ 7:30 PM,

You need to choose the best time for you to start Balance of Power event, or more importantly when is the best time for you to end the event!
RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race tip):
I wouldn't recommend starting the event on the first day, March 7th. The tips and details can be filled in by the early adopters, so starting a day or two later gives a better heads up.
Ideally, for racers who are busy Monday to Friday and have the weekend free, the best day and time to start is as late as possible Saturday, as long as it's before midnight, meaning stage 8 of the event can be completed over two days, the following Saturday and Sunday. There may be a short time to start this event! It may be only open for 1 week. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

Will this event be added to the race career?[]
FM went through a spell of adding special events to the racing career, the last time a special event was added was September 2015 v3.6, NASCAR Academy was added directly to the NASCAR career, without previously being released as a Time Limited Event (TLE). Previous to that was April 2015 v3.3, with Redline: Origins and MotorFiesta 1. It is therefore unlikely this event will be added to the racing career.

Footnotes[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at midday or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time.
The best time to start is late in the day local time, as the next stage opens at midnight local time.
If the event is started 11PM ??mmmmmm ddth 20yy?? (local time), the event can be completed ?x24 hours later, 11PM ??mmmmmm ddth 20yy??. Allowing almost two full days to complete the last stage.
