As usual no problems on day 1. This should take you 5–10 minutes at most. All events are at Catalunya.

Started by upgrading the first round of R$ upgrades, waiting time is 12 hours. Saved.

1.1 Drive 1 lap around the track. No other cars, off track is allowed etc. - they don't come any easier. Got a feel of the accelaration and grip of the car and waited a bit at the end of the lap just in case (bot management, sometimes you have to improve your previous lap time later on), crossed the line yawning, 1m42s. You do this track again in 1.3 so handy to try out where the breaking points are etc. 3 bars of damage.

1.2 Hunter. Target + 3 yards. Even on the smallest circuit that shouldn't be a problem if you drive cleanly. Overtook the Silvia in the beginning of the last long righthander before the straight and managed the distance from there, won by +6 yds. 2 bars of damage.

1.3 Overtake Eric. 3 laps of Catalunya (same track as 1.1). As soon as you overtake Eric you are green flagged. You start about half a lap back, on lap 0. Caught up with Eric (drives a Regera) towards the end of lap 2, followed him around (just in case, botmanagement etc.) until the last righthander into the final straight towards the finish on lap 3, nudged him off in that corner. Green flag rightaway. Still in the green but all large damage bars gone.

Note: unless I missed a screen, you can't service the car after 1.3. Have to wait until day 2 opens. Day 2 starts with a speed snap that I don't think can be done unserviced.

2.1 Speed Snap:

Easy even without any upgrade, just adjust you speed before last corner before long straight to allow you driving speeding up thru that corner, I think target speed was 353.9 km/h, I had to release throttle pedal just before the finish line since my speed was over 358 km/h. I just did a bit more than 354 km/h

2.2 Endurance (Win this event without going off-track for more than 2 seconds):

Very easy, no problem even without any upgrade. After reaching target distance, I had more than 20 seconds left.

2.3 Cup (Win this event within 70 seconds and reach a top speed of 230 mph (371 kph) at least once (No Race Info)):

Easy without any upgrade, top speed can be reached before "PORSCHE curves" (I drive from inside view, so I can look the speedometer), you can avoid braking and going offtrack at the end of the straight if needed to reach top speed, later, on last chicane, just cut off to get in time. I did it in 1:05 (65 seconds)

HV2308 (level 250, manual controls, no assists, WTTT category D-E), PR 84.8 (1111111, waiting for 1112122 R$ upgrades to arrive)

All events are at Le Mans.

2.1 Speed snap. My target of 218.26 mph was fixed. Registering a slow speed or failing didn't lower the target. Accelarating through the (Tertre Rouge) righthander and onto the first long straight with as much speed as possible is key. Stick to the left approaching the corner, no point in going so fast you have to brake. Hit the accelarator when turning into the corner, cutting the kerbs on the inside with two wheels. Stray out towards the kerbs on the leftside (again keeping 2 wheels on track) and keep the hammer down to the finish. You should enter the straight at around 160-170. Finished in 220.3 mph. 2 bars of damage.

2.2 Endurance. No off track for more than 2 seconds. Target of 4.4 miles was simple enough with the 3 long straights of Hunaudieres. It's in the morning so a bit dark and dark cars to overtake but otherwise ... 4.4 miles is on the third of the straights, well before the sharp righthander at Mulsanne onto the 4th straight. Plenty of time and plenty of cars to get there. Didn't service yesterday so I was 2 bars in the red starting this one (-11 mph). Still no problem at all. Stop as soon as you pass the target and let the clock run down. No need to invite quicker bots ...

2.3 Get to the finish in 70 seconds, hitting 230 mph at least once. You start from just before the Indianapolis turns, so the straight from Arnage towards the PORSCHE curves is the (only) place to hit that speed. No race information. You can switch to cockpitview and watch the speedo on the dash although it's pretty hard to see where 230 is. Even with a pretty lousy exit out of Arnage onto the straight, I hit 230 with time enough to brake for the first righthander of the Porsche curves. Keep going flat out until you hit the target, even if it means risking an off or a crash, there is no other place to do it.

If you drive cleanly (which I didn't) completing within 70s shouldn't be a problem but you can cut straight across the last chicanes before the finish if necessary. Finished in 1.09.790, serviced and saved.

HV2308 (level 250, manual controls, no assists, WTTT category D-E), PR 84.8 (1111111, waiting for 1112122 R$ upgrades to arrive)

Pretty quick day today. 3 events, all at the Nurburgring, whole day can be done in one run without servicing inbetween. Bots seemed a bit more aggressive than usual. The difference between being able to spin off a McLaren (easy) compared to especially the Regera (usually not more than a slight wobble) also struck me.

3.1 Cup race 2 laps (Sprint circuit). Skid for 5 seconds but not more than 8 seconds. Get to first and start slowing the bots. You can do the skids while you are making your way up to 1st (using other cars to control your skids) or after you've got there. The race itself is not too hard. Not easy to make long skids, so do some shorter ones, in the corners usually a good place to do them. Messing around with the bots can also lead to skids, so keep a bit in reserve. Won in 2.38.9, 8 bars of damage.

3.2 Autocross with no skidding, reach 204 mph at least once. You are basically doing the last long downhill straight, with the finish post just after the last chicane. Floor it and you should reach 204 well in time to brake for the chicane (although you can cut that). Hit the brakes when the counter hits 204, you don't want to raise the bot level in future events. Off track is no problem, so you can cut across the final chicane at full speed if needed. Won in 34.153 & 205.x mph, target 34.316. 3 bars of damage.

3.3 3 laps Cup race (Sprint circuit). Be in 2nd after both lap 1 and 2 and win the race after 3 laps. Getting to 2nd not too much of a problem, dive down the inside / right in the first corner after the start. Brake late and you should nearly be there already. Bots are at least equally fast on the straights but much slower when braking & cornering. You can be in 1st inbetween crossing the start-finish line (where you have to be 2nd), so you can slow the bots during the lap. Slowing bots will bunch up the field, making it more difficult to keep 2nd place. If you do want to be a nuisance, don't do it too near the end of the lap. You can cut the last chicane before the finish at full speed if necessary to make up positions. Won in 3.59.5 (by 9 yards), 2 short red bars of damage left (-32 mph).

HV2308 (level 250, manual controls, no assists, WTTT category D-E), PR 86.3 (max. R$ upgrades only, 1112122 10/27)

4 events, all at Catalunya. Timetrial 4.2 was the hard one for me, but it was not unrealistic with PR 86.3. You know you'll get it eventually. Rest were pretty easy. You may have to service inbetween.

4.1 Win the Cup race, 2 laps & go off track for more than 9 secs but not more than 10 secs. Pretty straightforward. Best to get to 1st first, cutting corners on the way should already work you towards the 9 sec. target. Don't get to your target of 9s too soon. It will basically mean you have to do the rest of the race without going off track and have no room for error. Cutting the last chicane before the finish straight wins a lot of time, so it's handy to have a bit of time in reserve for that. You can win a lot of off track time without losing too much in the race itself by cutting corners. Manual controls and full accelaration handy for that. Once in first you can slow the bots. 7 or 8 bars of damage I think.

4.2 Timetrial = no off track, finish in under 50 secs. This took me quite a few tries but it was fun to do. Keep chipping away at the time and improving braking points, early accelaration, avoiding skids and slowly the time will come down. Finished in 49.2 in the end. Came from 56s in the first run, then a few 52s runs ... 51s ... 50s+ and bingo. The practice will come in handy for future events at Catalunya, and with this car, so no problem to take a while to complete this one. One lap is around 3 bars of damage.

4.3 Head to head 3 laps on the smallest track (Club circuit). Beat Magnus and set the fastest lap. Spun Magnus as soon as I could on lap 1, held him up for the rest of the lap. Did a quick lap on lap 2 - when you cross start-finish, check the clock to see if you hold the fastest lap (green split time). Held Magnus up on lap 3 so he had no chance to beat my laptime of lap 2. Finished in 1.55.4 about 10 yds ahead of Magnus (fastest lap 33.1, Magnus 34.1)

4.4 Head to Head 2 laps. Beat Magnus, set the fastest lap & go off track for at least 20 secs. I thought the combination of winning & going off track for 20s would make it difficult, but if you cut the corners big time the 20s come up in no time. Manual controls, full accelaration means you don't slow too much, and it will save you braking. Hold Magnus up on lap 1 as much as you can once you've passed him. That means you can cruise lap 2 and only have to stay ahead. Check your lap 1 time as you cross the finish to see how much time you have. Did this with slightly unserviced car (-2 mph), 3.17.7, fastest lap 1.28. Magnus was about 100 yds back and closing fast as I slowed at the finish. Although his time in the final result (3.20.4, fastest lap 1.49???) would suggest otherwise.

You can't finish in 3.20 with a fastest lap of 1.49 like Magnus. Best you can do would be 2x 1.49 = 3.38. Strange but hey ...

Then I tried overtaking and winning. Went offtrack left of the starting grid and waited until I was 21st. Started then and was 9th in no time. Went wide to let some pass and pushed till finishing 2nd with 100m short. Same on second try. When I finally got 2nd 1st was almost 400m ahead and I could only close the gap.

Then I went for overlapping. Was much easier. Didn't push very hard, braked early, lots of lift and coast. Still was 500m ahead of 2nd place after lap 1 and reached first backmarker end of lap 3. They are really slow. Overlapped 7 - 2 in the last corner - and won.

BTW braking and overlapping same car again doesn't count. When backmarker overtook counter decreases.

4 challenges, all at Hockenheim.

5.1 Speed snap, target 183.5 mph, no off track

Turn around at the start and go 2 corners back. Turn around facing the right way again, floor the accelarator and enter the straight at as high a speed as possible (wide line to start with in the last corner, making your way towards the inner kerb). Keep your eye on the speedo and as soon as you pass the target hit the brakes full ... and hope you make the corner ;-). Then cruise round and complete the rest of the lap.

5.2 Cup race, 3 laps. Lap an opponent.

You don't have to win, lap an opponent and you get the green flag.

Bit worried when it took me nearly one three quarter laps to get to first (overtook Ivanov after the long back straight on lap 2). Clear track on lap 3 and saw the backmarkers going quite slowly when entering the bendy section after the long back straight. Took my time and waited until the last corner before the finish to lap the last car, but was overtaken by second place while doing so. Wasn't a problem. Green flag as soon as you lap a car.

5.3 Speedsnap, target 175.1, complete within 16 seconds. The time is no problem if you reach the target. 173 mph already gets you inside the time limit. That only leaves getting to 175. With just one righthander, that's where it's won or lost. Approach the corner on the left outside at such a speed that you can hit the throttle ideally already when you are turning in, when you hit the apex at latest and just blast on to the backstraight as fast as you can. The straight goes left a bit so take a wide line (keep right), might just give you the few tenths you need. If you have to brake in the corner or skid, your approach had been too quick. And there is no chance to reach 175. Got there in 3 or 4 tries, 177 mph.

5.4 Cup race, 4 laps of Hockenheim. Pass 25 cars and win OR lap 5 backmarkers and win.

This one took me quite a while at PR 86.3 (full R$ upgrades only). Tried both options and sprinting away from the field in search of the backmarkers was less difficult / best for me.

Although I would probably have cleared this stage with PR 86.3 I opted to go for the 295 golds option. That gave me PR 88.6 righaway (14/27, 2222222) with 4 additional R$ upgrades in one and a half days from now (18/27, 3332322)

-If challenges on day 5 are already stretching you to the limit, things will most likely become impossible later on (read the comments about day 6!). I'm an average racer but still.

-The next round of R$ upgrades take 1 day and 12 hours. Wait too long and they won't be on in time for day 7 or 8, forcing you to buy them for gold instead. Or skip. Better to have the gold invested in upgrades on the car, also for future events.

Few options to pass 5.4:

1. passing 25 cars: as soon as the lights go green, go to the side of the track onto the grass, letting the whole field pass. Stay well left, or 21st place will hit you causing a skid.Start accelarating as 13th-15th go by and you should be overtaken by the whole field without losing too much distance. You should catch the pack in the first righthander. Cut the inside at full speed and make sure you get up to 17th-18th. Brake and let the field go by again. You now have 3 & three quarter laps to get to 1st at full speed. Danger is that if you hit bots on the way, your headlights will brake, making you do the race in the dark. It's difficult enough as it is. 2. passing 25 cars: Alternatively get to 1st and do the overtaking / being overtaking game. The more you slow the field and bunch them up the better. The danger being bumped and that being given as a skid rightaway = red flag.

If you are on manual settings, the advertising boards above the track work well as orientation/benchmark on where to start braking. Also use the grass or slide into cars from the side to further slow you down. Watch out for the headlights or collisions causing you to be red flagged for skidding though. Don't steer too abruptly when off track, that will cause a skid.

3. lapping 5 cars. 4 laps of free track, no broken headlights, no swerving bots being a nuisance and bumping into you to cause you to skid ... You should see the first backmarker around the end of lap 3. They are quite slow (and dark cars), be sure to avoid them to keep up speed. Keep faith until the end, there are quite a few in the bendy section at the end. The 5th and last one you need tends to be quite a bit in front of the 4th one you overtake, so don't relax too soon!

6.4 done with just R$ upgrades. Challenging, took me 7 tries. Here's my tips.

For all of this you have to push the car as hard as you can, getting Full Throttle as fast as possible and staying in it as long as possible. Try very hard not to skid but a slight skid once in awhile isn't horrible.

After the light turns green you need to cut the first left hand corner as good as you can and get Full Throttle ASAP. Stay on track as long as possible but you gain some on this big corner by cutting.

Between the two last Corners you can go way off track so that you get a huge run to the start-finish line. You have to do that here then pass the first car you see on the outside, he will drive to the middle of the track.

You then brake early and cut the first corner after the start-finish line. If you do it right (very close to the wall) you hardly drive on the grass at all and you can make up a lot of time.

Nail the brakes just before you go under the little bridge/banner and you should hit the next corner just right.

For the next 180 degree right hand turn, I brake a little past the banner on you right. Full Throttle half way through that section.

You need to slightly cut the next 90-degree left-hand corner.

Then if you get the lines just right you can stay Full Throttle through the next two corners until you reach the sharper right hand turn that takes you to the exact point where the race started.

Now you are at the first corner where you cut and the 2nd place car should be well in sight. I took the cut and decided to hit him to slow him down. Unfortunately it was more of a nudge. Then I overtook him in the exact same way I overtook the first car, that is using the off-track section between the last and second last turns to get a big run.

Magnus was absolutely nowhere in sight but that didn't matter for this race.

Tilt B, no assists, sensitivity 10.

First 3 part is fairly easy and straight forward. Didn't take much trying at all. For 6.3 if two AI was too close together for you to stay between them just spin one of them should make it easier.

6.4 Is a bit hard. The tricky part is to catch up with the last AI before the first elimination. Cutting the first few corner didn't work that well for me but just clean hard racing will do. Cutting the first corner after the regular start/finish line is a no brainer it saves a lot of time. After that it is quite simple just go as fast as you can.

ZekkeRJ report:
Day 6.

6.1 - Elimination, Hockenheim National. Tailgate Magnus for 40secs and win.

The key is the first corner; do it well and you'll catch up Magnus. After completing 40secs of tailgate (not continuous), pit him to slow down.

6.2 - Autocross, Hockenheim GP. Win with average speed of 167Km/h (104 mph).

This is a pay to pass. When I was on R$ only (86.3 / 1112122), Magnus time was 25.47s. When I upgraded to PR 87.4 / 1312122, his time dropped to 25.7.

6.3 - Elimination, Hockenheim GP. Stay one position ahead of elimination, finish 2nd or better.

Finish 2nd or better??? So I've done 2nd.

6.4 - Elimination, Hockenheim GP, Rolling start, extra spaced grid. Finish 2nd or better.

You start this event too far from the car ahead you, so you can find hard to catch him before getting eliminated.

HV2308 (level 250, manual controls, no assists, WTTT category D-E), PR 90.9

Had to do this on holiday with lousy wifi, but managed day 6 & 7 in one go thanks to the free upgrading. Not too many problems if you "paid to pass" ;-)

6.2 Clean driving and good lines is better than going as fast as possible and having to brake or lift, skidding, running wide etc. Not entering the corner too fast allows you to hit the throttle full from when you enter the bend. That gives you a lot of extra speed on the following straight. Approaching with as high a speed as possible and having to brake full in the corner, run wide or skid is slower.

6.3 & 6.4 If you only have to finish second, no need to get 1st (bot management). 2nd and 3rd were pretty close together in both races (and quite a way ahead of 4th), getting the 3rd placed car but not the 2nd can be tricky.

Take the big cut at the first corner. DON'T hit the wall like I did! DO hit Eric either on the left or right side bumper like I did to spin him around (may spin you around). Hit him again at the finish for fun (big spin around by me).

R$ upgrades. Tilt B; no assists; steering sensitivity 10.

Goal 7.3: Endurance at Nürburgring – Grand Prix Circuit - Win this event by 8.7 miles (14 km) or reach an average speed of 127 mph (204 kph), without going off-track for more than 2 seconds - Recommended PR92.3

This was an accident, so no video. I did grab a screen shot. Yes, I won with -2.6 km. I was running it backwards to slow the bots down (or at least try). I went off track at the "jump spot", the one tight chicane on the track. That cost me 1.4 seconds off-track but I guess it kept my speed up. Then there's a long straight; then a long left hand turn; then I was shocked as the green banner popped up while on the short straight! I passed with enough average speed. That distance may slow down the bots!

R$ upgrades. Tilt B; no assists; steering sensitivity 10.

Goal 7.4: Head To Head at Nürburgring (Night) – Sprint Circuit [3 laps] - Win this event with a lead of at least 547 yd (500 m) or tailgate Magnus within 22 yd (20 m) for 40 seconds, without going-off track - Recommended PR92.3

7.4 Stay on Magnus, purposely hit him lighty EVERY corner by braking late to get him loose and slow him down. Try to smash him into the wall at the chicane to give him severe front end damage. If that doesn't work (like my video) let him pass and pit him on the start/finish straight.

R$ upgrades. Tilt B; no assists; steering sensitivity 10.

JPHARP030456 report:
Stage 7 done PR 90.6

Goal 1 : Speed Record - Nürburgring – Müllenbachschleife in max 33 sec.

Is in reality a speed snap; 33 sec goal just prevents you from driving backwards for a longer straight. With only R$ upgrades something of a pickle; with PR 90.6 not easy, but doable.

Goal 2 : Cup - Nürburgring - Müllenbachschleife - Drive a lap in the opposite direction before Eric completes the lap

A good trick is to cut the last corner horribly trough the gras.

Goal 3 : Endurance - Nürburgring - GP circuit - Win this event by 8.7 miles (14 km) or reach an average speed of 127 mph (204 kph), without going off-track for more than 2 seconds

Distance was staightforward; had 60 sec to spare @ 8.8 miles.

Goal 4 : Head-to-head - Nürburgring - Sprint circuit - Win this event with a lead of at least 547 yd (500 m) or tailgate Magnus within 22 yd (20 m) for 40 seconds, without going-off track of 127 mph (204 kph), without going off-track for more than 2 seconds

Tailgating for 40 sec took 1/2 lap. Then pitted Magnus and ended with 90 m lead.

7.1 is very quite to do even with a one gold upgrade and the RS up grade after it. I end up skipping this one with gold, it is the only one I skip with gold, But here is a few tip I got for those who don't want to skip it. First hit that wall is the only way to reach the speed needed. Reaching the speed was easy, the hard part is bounce back. I couldn't get that right, I either bounced off track or to a place that I couldn't just turn an keep going forward without doing a three point turn. Maybe you can find more success with it than I do. Secondly, take the first corner very wide. Start turn in late but hard. It allows you to hit the throttle earlier. and carry way more speed out of the corner.

7.2 As person above said just cut the last corner (last corner when you go the regular way around, the first right hander you see in this race). Hitting Eric is optional, doesn't really matter you can do it to slow the bot down for future event maybe.

7.3 Best way is to turn around and cut the final chicane. It helps to slow the bot down and really easy to reach the average speed.

7.4 Tailgate was easy, after that just over take and pit Magnus.

SM Racer report:
The morning guys here let me down, saying you can do 182.7 mph the normal way in 7.1 with R$ only. And you probably can, but I wasted maybe 1/2 hour here and there trying that today before it dawned on me... today is Sneaky Tricks! Just ram the wall! Then it was easy.

7.2. Run head on into Eric, then push him back about 100 yards, then proceed. Easy!

7.3 Use the 2 seconds off track to cut the last chicane and hit 127 mph average on first lap. Easy!

7.4 Hassle and pit Magnus the whole way! Took me 4 tries but not hard.

After figuring out I needed to be sneaky, the stage took maybe 20min with R$ only.

I now see these tricks have all been posted here, but they weren't this morning!

HV2308 (level 250, manual controls, no assists, WTTT category D-E), PR 90.9

Had to do this on holiday with lousy wifi, but managed day 6 & 7 in one go thanks to the '12 hours free servicing' (thanks FM). Not too many problems

7.1 33 seconds not really a problem. Drive cleanly and avoid skidding and running wide - that costs more time. Just pausing before the corner allows you to accelate earlier in the corner (sometimes even before, as you are turning in), giving you greater exitspeed onto a following straight.

7.2 Doing the Mullenbachschleife in opposite direction was no problem. It's pretty short, so found it pretty easy to visualise 'back to front' / in reverse order. Passed Eric as he was approaching the narrow bendy section I had just left. @laps the other way round in general: I find concentrating on your own run and avoiding crashing into the oncoming car works best. Once you have visualised running the circuit in opposite direction, the challenge is usually no problem. The problem is usually that corners are different (longer, sharper etc.) the first few times you try them in opposite direction.

7.3 A distance of 8.7 miles is usually a lot in Endurance, but here it was straightforward. Definitely the easy option. Plenty of bots to overtake, got there with time to spare. Botmanagement = stopping as soon as you pass the 1st place flag. Completed at the first attempt.

7.4 Tailgating Magnus within 20 yds for 40 secs is the easy option. You can do this continuously for the first half lap and have it done before the long downhill backstraight. Botmanagement will then consist of being a nuisance to Magnus as much as possible, slowing, blocking, pushing, crashing and spinning him off track etc. Overdid this, and lost concentration a few times, forcing me to do this one quite a few times. But that was unnecessary, it's straightforward bordering on the boring.

Tips for day 8 with R$ upgrades only

Tilt B, assists off, steering sensitivity 10.

Real_Racing_3;_One_on_1_event;_8.1

Real Racing 3; One on 1 event; 8.1

8.1 First things first. The bots take a VERY wide lines for the 1st 4 turns of Nurburgring. You MUST take advantage of this. They take the 1st turn okay. 2nd, 3rd & 4th turns they are very wide and slow. Jostle with Magnus here as much as possible. Pit him when he loses his usefulness!

8.1, 1st turn. Take the inside line, brake VERY late. Just as you are nearing the pack, turn a bit left then hard right to slide and hit the pack with your side (you need to protect your front end as mush as possible). AS you turn hard right, floor it! This will help you not to go off-track as easy. I kept reversing after the hit, wasting time. You don't want to hit Magnus or he will fall back too far, a slight tap is good though. NOTE: you can be in 10th place here but be in 1st after the 4th turn easy. See video.

Real_Racing_3;_One_on_1_event;_stage_8.2

Real Racing 3; One on 1 event; stage 8.2

8.2 Time is no issue here. Just get that last corner right. Brake a bit early get your sharp turning done early and floor it! See video.

8.3 Very similar to 8.1. This time purposely let a few bots pass you before turn 2, then overtake them. The hard part here is staying VERY close to Magnus without pitting him until lap 2! For lap 2 I chose to brake very late for the 1st corner and hit him there. He caught back up fast so I pitted him on the next short straight.

8.4 You will have to hit the wall at the entrance to the chicane head on, then back up and continue on. If you don't hit head on, you will likely spin off-track. As someone else said, watch the speed counter and brake the second it registers. For this to work, you need to pit Magnus bad before this section each lap. I had a 280m lead and lost it all getting going after the chicane crash. No video for this one.

8.5 VERY easy, don't worry about the time limit at all.

HV2308 (level 250, manual controls, no assists, WTTT category D-E), PR 90.9

General advice Nurburgring

-avoid having your headlights broken - and that seems to happen very quickly, it's the penalty you pay for contact with other cars. You really need the headlights to spot the inside of the corner coming up. You have enough speed (with PR 90.9 anyway) and the bots go wide and slow down in corners, so there is no need to be too eager.

-Always go down the inside on turn 1. You can get there either by cutting straight to the right directly from the start, or by passing 3-5 cars first and then going to the right. There is usually a large gap there.

-As you approach turn 1 for the first time brake late - but there's not too much point in just smashing into the pack in the corner: you don't know where you'll end up yourself and with what kind of damage. Brake so that you are more or less in control as you turn in (= go "a bit too fast" but not like an idiot). That way you will slide into cars and nudge them out of the way but can continue overtaking straight afterwards. Turns 2, 3 & 4 are ideal for this. Bots run invitingly wide and are slow there. Coming out of turn 1 in 5th to 8th is fine, worse than 10th leaves you with work to do. The "O-shaped artwork" (crash barriers?) on the left before turn 1 is a good orientation point of where to start braking.

8.1 Easiest is when Magnus is in 1st place. Depending on the mayhem you cause in turn 1 or when overtaking Magnus, he can sometimes be further down. Not good. Avoid Martinez or another bot disappearing in the distance while you are still tussling with Magnus. For the same reason, don't spin him off before the 4th overtake.

8.2 Driving cleanly is better than wanting to go too fast and skidding, running wide etc. Key is the last righthander onto the straight. Slow a bit before the corner and take a wide line (= left side). That way you can turn in sharper and hit the throttle (full!)earlier, allowing you to graze the inside kerb, run out onto the left kerb without hitting the grass (the artificial grass is usually no problem).

8.3 Like in 8.1 go down the inside on turn 1. Although 60 secs would give you until the long downhill back straight, the cars are quite fast there, so you want to have your 22 passes done by the time you get there. Going down the inside of turn 1 should give you at least around 10-15 passes, wait a bit after turn 1 and you should be passed by 4 or 5 in no time. From there work your way towards 1st. Lot of the 22 passes (if not all) can be done in turns 2, 3 & 4. Pressure off. You have 3 laps to get to 1st overall so there's no real rush. You can make up a lot in the sections with a lot of corners. Just brake late. You can overtake Magnus on lap 2 or lap 3. You don't HAVE to do it on lap 2.

8.4 No problem with 90.9. Magnus is not too much of a problem in this race, so all about hitting 208 mph twice. You can hit 208 on the final back straight on both laps. Watch the speed and as soon as you reach 208 mph, hit the brakes full and you will still have time to make the chicane. You can cut quite a lot of the final chicane without being signalled off track. The light, green-grey triangular patches are definitely OK, so going across at a 45-degree angle is allowed (and gives you a lot of advantage over the bots) If this is too big a challenge, just crash into the wall.

8.5 is the victory lap. No other cars although this time there is a time limit of 1m33s. That is no problem, you can cruise round unserviced. Had about 10 secs to spare on the line

7GearInReverse wrote:
8.1 The biggest challenge for me came from the AI starting at P2 and some time P3, they can be faster than Magnus. You don't want them to get away or messing around when you play the overtake and let pass game with Magnus. Spin them early on if they prove to be a problem.

8.2 Just have a good exit out the last corner. Shouldn't be that hard.

8.3 You only need to let 2 AI pass you, brake early when you reach P2 and overtake them again. Over take Magnus in lap 2 and pit him.

8.4 Not hard with 3 gold upgrade and the RS upgrade after them. You can cut the chicane in the end (second and third last corner) a little bit. There is a line in the grass don't cross that and you will be fine.

8.5 is a walk in the park.

Start / End Strategy[]

The player has 8 days to complete the 8 stages, the event is 8 days x 24 hours. The first stage will start the time the player starts it, the last stage will end 8 x 24 hours later. As stage 01 is normally straight forward and can be completed without an upgrade or service, it can be started late in the day, it doesn't matter if stage 01 isn't completed the first day, it can continued the following day. Stage 02, will automatically unlock at midnight, but can only be raced once stage 01 is complete. Stage 03 will unlock at midnight the following day, and so on up to stage 8. In total there will be 8 x 24 hours = 192 hours to complete all stages.

I wouldn't recommend starting the event on the first day, April 17, as many racers, who start as soon as the event opens, complain about bugs, which FM then fix! Instead leave the start a day or two and let other people do the bug testing. Also the tips and details can be filled in by the early adopters, so starting a day or two later gives a better heads up.

Ideally, for racers who are busy Monday to Friday and have the weekend free, the best day and time to start is as late as possible Saturday April 22 (local time), as long as it's before midnight, meaning stage 8 of the event can be completed over two days, the following Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately there maybe a short time to start this event! It is only available, to start for 6 days, as the next event, Hommage R Championship, is expected to start April 29. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

When is the last time I can start this Event?[]

The exact date is unknown, due to rounding, probably ~Saturday April 22.

The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at mid day or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

Will this event be added to the race career?[]

FM went though a spell of adding special events to the racing career, the last time a special event was added was September 2015 v3.6, NASCAR Academy was added directly to the NASCAR career, without previously being released as a Time Limited Event (TLE). Previous to that was April 2015 v3.3, with Redline: Origins and MotorFiesta 1. It is therefore unlikely this event will be added to the racing career.

Will the car be available to win in the future?[]

The KOENIGSEGG ONE:1 is available to win if the challenge is completed in 8 days, after April 24 the KOENIGSEGG ONE:1 can be purchased.

Can I buy the car?[]

The KOENIGSEGG ONE:1 is available in one series:

This vehicle was added in the Koenigsegg and Nissan Update (v5.2.0) released in April 2017 and can be unlocked by earning ?? trophies in Hypercar Charge or by completing the One On 1 (v6.2.0) special event.

Rumour has it that 1132122 (PR 86.9/87.0) will be enough to win the car but you might find it a struggle with that. I would expect 3332322 (PR 90.6ish) at 295Icon Gold will be more than enough. Not sure how you got to 92.5 but you only need PR 95.0 for career.

ME7 report:

I won the car with R$ upgrades only!!

I am very tired, so I'll post some tips in about 8 hours. NEED SLEEP!!

Since many people will not believe this is possible, here are my screenshots of my new ONE:1 showing upgrades.

Footnotes[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at mid day or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time.

The best time to start is late in the day local time, as the next stage opens at midnight local time.

If the event is started 11PM 23rd April (local time), the event can be completed 8x24 hours later, 11PM 30th April. Allowing almost two full days to complete the last stage.
