Pretty straightforward. Reached third by the first turn and slowed down blocking the opponents behind to increase the gap with the 2nd .Then drove slow and steady. Completed the lap in 1:45:134

1.2

Got to the 2nd position while exiting the first turn. The time is accumulative. The timer reached 30s in the first section(East Circuit) of the GP circuit. Drove flat out to get a feel for the car.  Nice car and sound but a bit heavy and skiddy. Waited at the chicane for the others.

1.3

Got to the 1st place by the 1st turn and then drove flat out to get the feels.

Thought it would be difficult with base PR. Stopped below the Mastare board and then kicked the throttle. 237.23 vs 232.4 Santos

2.2

Overtook everyone by the first exit to the straight. Didn't brake on time so hit the barriers. Turned out good for reaching the goal since there were no ups on the car. Crossed the finish line in 1:26.063.

2.3

Cutting the first chicane immediately gave me a lead of 400m. The 962Cs might have better acceleration but this car has got greater top speed. Drove with ease and crossed the finish line in 1:34:089 with a lead of 566m.

The second day was as easy as the first. And no servicing needed in between.

2.1 Don't go any faster than you have to. I could not lower the speed target, probably because I was below recommended PR.

2.2 Don't finish any faster than you have to, I cut it a little close.

2.3 Well that was fun. That first cut I took is actually pretty hard to do on a regular basis.

3.1 I tried to get the distance lower but it wouldn't change for me. Don't go any further than you have to. When you drive backwards your distance doesn't count and I had time to kill so... There you go. No other reason for it.

3.2 With tier 1 upgrades this wasn't too bad. NOTE: Notice the one corner that I took very close to the wall, but it wasn't off track. This is very important because it allows you to get into the gas earlier out of that corner and pass Bots. They will never drive their! Don't drive too crazy on lap 1 and damage your car. That's going to hurt your acceleration and top speed which will make this extremely hard on you. So pass aggressively but carefully in lap one.

3.3 You have to lead for 50 seconds non-stop before you let someone pass you. So lead, let someone pass and then have some fun 😉

3.4 Hitting high speed 3 times with tier 1 upgrades was no problem at all. In fact, this race was pretty easy. Just have to remember to brake early in this car compared to modern Le Mans cars.

Sworup Thapa wrote:

Upgrades: All level 1

3.1

Straightforward goal. 1st 10.4km Santos. Easy with level 1 ups

3.2

Brake as little as possible. The first and the second section can be taken flat out but watch out for the bots. If need be, pitch the bots on the corners to keep the speed up. Use the Auto-Engineer if you want. Won't have to service for the next two goals.

3.3

Can be done without going off-rack. Saves on servicing.

3.4

You won't even know when you hit the speed mark thrice. Catching up to the first might be a problem tho.I believe the bots change as per your upgrades status. On SJs no-ups car the second last bot is Al Harbi but on my Level 1 upgraded car the bot was replaced by Munoz. Abandon and retry may cause the bots car to change too. Not that it makes very much of a difference but if Munoz/Harbi is driving the 962C, you can squeeze in between the car and the wall i.e. take the corner flat out.

4.1 I took some cuts, tried to figure out how this car handles on this track a bit, made some big mistakes on a few corners, and smashed some bots.)

4.2 I always have trouble with this section of Spa. Doing this with just tier 1 upgrades wasn't working for me. The additional tier 2 R$ upgrades gave me just what I needed to get through this.

4.3 I didn't find the outside line to be a problem on corner 1, it's the inside lane that gets too pushy. So guard the inside line in corner 1 and then it's pretty easy after that.

4.4 I went faster than I needed to, didn't think I was going over speed by that much.

4.2

Needs some effort. After about 10 tries did a 29.582s vs Santos 29.826s with only R$ ups

4.3

Go to the middle of the road as soon as the race starts so that you won't be overtaken. After the 1st corner you won't have to worry. Eau Rouge can be taken flat out as well as Blanchimont. Waited at the finish line and did a time of 2:03:761

4.4

Stop about a car length before the inside kerbs ends at Bruxells then kick the throttle. Did 278.97kph vs 278.3 Santos.

All in all, a fairly easy day. I don't expect the day fifth can be done with only $ ups but let's see what's in the store.

5.1 At first this was completely impossible with just R$ upgrades. I kept quitting and we're trying and quitting and retiring and then I completely backed out of the event and went back in. At that point I got a Pagani in last place which is a slower car than the C11's. But then I also got lucky. One of the Porsches got out of line and slowed down the Pagani just enough. I honestly don't know if it would have been possible any other way with R$ upgrades!

5.2 Getting 12 overtakes and hitting average speed is easy. Not winning by a huge lead is not. So I gave him a 1000+ lead at the start while still getting in some average speed by going in reverse. Then I could get the overtakes in after catching up. The cuts helped me to keep my speed high, so I had nothing to worry about once I caught him.

5.3 Enough time with just R$ upgrades. After the 1st turn, stay full throttle until you near the top of the hill. This car corners great, but the brakes are a bit lacking.

5.4 DON'T LAP ANYONE! I tried it and it ends the race instantly. I thought I could lap someone, then lose like in prior stages like this. Nope! Then I got someone stuck in a wall and the race ended at the top of the hill in lap 2 because I lapped him. No good for bot management. So I tried again and just bashed bots carefully.

The only problem is overtaking the 7th bot. When you abandon, retry the bots will change.  Look for a Pagani or a C11. 962Cs at this stage will smoke you before you can overtake them. Try to weasel between the wall and the opponenet. Then take Eau Rouge flat out. I was at the 1st position while reaching the chicane so the rest is easy. Try not to skid at Bruxells.

5.2

Easiest of all. Did not wait. Did my overtakes and kept the speed up. Waited at the finish line but Santis was still about 1300m behind.

5.3

This is badically a time trial but without having to use drives. Try not to skid at Bruxells. Flat out Eau Rouge and Blanchimont and you'll be there. Did a 1:53:248.

5.4

7:28:445 vs 7:32:731 Singh. Couldn't see anyone to lap till the end but fairly easy. Can even make some mistakes and still win.

6.1 Hitting the speed snap requirement isn't enough, you also have to hit the minimum top to speed pass the level. The minimum speed is harder to reach than the speed snap speed. Remember that you can take that last corner VERY wide; wide enough that it looks like you're off-track but you aren't.

6.2 Hmmmm... this one was easy. I slowed down near the end just to be closer to making time. That can help with bot management.

6.3 The hard part here is the start. You have to block both lanes heading to turn one. After that it was really easy. I would recommend cutting the last corner just so you can save some gas. Although as you can see, I took it really easy and had gas to spare.

6.4 It was impossible for me to find a place where I could hit the required top speed twice racing with these upgrades. I needed to run the start/finish straight straight twice, but that simply wasn't possible under normal race conditions. So I decided I would shove the bot off-track and get him stuck behind the barrier. I've had this happen by accident in the past so this time I tried it on purpose. I had to try many times in order to push him to the left of the barrier rather than right into it. One time I pushed him into the barrier and got him stuck but it failed me because I crashed him right into the barrier to do it (pic in video thumbnail shot). After getting him stuck behind the barrier, hitting required top speed was easier than I thought. The downside of this is I had over a 2km lead on 2nd place. However the race took a lot longer than it should of, so bot management should be okay.

Will have to try a bit to get this one done. If you can't, put on some ups. The days to come will undoubtedly male us spend some GCs. 235.56 vs 226.73 Santos.

6.2

Easiest today. Those weeks of WTTTs learning helped me quite a lot. 33.972 vs Santos 36.124. Try to better your last chicane and you'll get it done in no time.

6.3

A tie between the easiest. Just make sure not to get overtaken. Had about 1.98 ltrs of gas left. Coast while taking corners. If you cut the last chicane you'll have plenty of gas left at the end. Cutting the chicane will also help you maintain your postion.

6.4

This was a bit difficult. Followed Me7s Magnus-killing manuevre for this one. Surprisingly, I did it one the first try but very soon I became a bit to careless andended up going off-track. Tried to pit Tan again and succeded. After that I cautiosly put up the effort and won.

7.1 Once in awhile 2 bots would crash and be very slow on the start-finish straight. When that happened I got very close to 2nd place a couple of times. If they didn't crash I had no chance at all. So I completely left the event and went back in until those bots crashed. Then I only pressed retry when I failed, to keep the field the same. NOTE: Pay careful attention to where I go off-track without actually being "off-track". This makes the corners extra wide which helps you carry more speed. Turning around and driving the wrong direction put some more distance between me and the 1st place bot which I think might help with bot management.

7.2 Remember to take the widest path around the track to build up your average speed. This track is longer than it seems with those wide arcing corners.

7.3 You don't have to do it the way I did. I wanted to finish last rather than 2nd. However it considers you as finishing 1st so... just a waste of time. I could have just done it normally. You don't need all the upgrades I have to finish this stage. However I looked ahead and 7. 4 is brutal. That's why I have tier 2 upgrades and tier 3 are being applied.

7.4 Expensive and very stupid stage! Hitting the speed snap requirement is no trouble at all. Hitting the overall minimum speed requirement is hard. No tricks and not a lot of skill required. Just pay for upgrades. What's stupid is the speed snap requirement is totally moot since you'll hit minimum speed requirement just before the speed snap finish line!

Sworup Thapa wrote:

Sorry guys. Was very busy so couldn't edit the page.

7.1

As Me7 said, two of the bots would crash early giving you the 5th position. You can overtake the 4th bot and get to the 4th position before the first turn. I observed the bot behavior very carefully and the case in which the bots would crash is like this- when you go off-track or retry, the bots won't crash. But if you drive without going off-track and get eliminated, that's when the bots crash. After getting the 4th position you have to get to the third which can be done either at the last chicane or the long straight on the start/finish because the bots take the chicane very slow and also because the 3rd bot drives a 787B which has lower top speed than the C11.

7.2

Drive wide and brake as less as you can. Coast and glide around the track.

7.3

I tried to pit the bot in turn 2 hoping the bot would get stuck on the wall and I'd do the tailgating. Turned out that I couldn't get him to stick inside the wall rather it'd get behind the wall and bang itself onto the wall while taling slight turns towards the opening and wnter the track. However this taught me to take turn 1 very fast and then tailgated the Zonda along the whole track.

7.4

No tricks here. Only contempt. Hitting a top speed that is way over the required speed to win is nonsense. Gold drain. Ain't upgrading the car one bit tomorrow.

8.1 I don't know about you, but I found this stage surprisingly hard. A lot of it was just dealing with the different braking points and lines of the other cars. this C11 needs to be in the prime spots on the track to really perform and the bots were usually there. It was a matter of figuring out how the bots take the corners in the different cars and taking advantage of it.

8.2 These bots are easy to pass, just take the first corner wide and get back to the gas as quick as you can. For the rest of the race, run clean and fast.

8.3 There's one corner that Ahmed takes horribly. He brakes for it when no brakes are required. As you see in this video, I sped past him there. You need to set up that pass the corner before.

8.4 Don't sweat it, this stage isn't hard. You can tell by how I finished it, lots of time to spare.

8.5 An easy one, partially unserviced. Time to vent and have fun. Skidding crashing and off-track are all allowed! The wording is confusing, you don't have to make sure Ahmad places first or second. Just go out there and have a blast.

Credit: RR3 Michael P, ... and everyone else who have posted comments. 8.1 The toughest one. It was very difficult for me to get to the 5th position. When I did, most of the times, I'd skid on the hairpin and lost the 4th bot. If you can get the 5th position without skidding on the hairpin and overtake 4th your victory is promised. It ain't that easy. 8.2 2:15:083. Easy peasy with these upgrades. Damn the 7.4 shat on my dear GC reserve. 8.3 Ahmed is a good driver bit not as good as us peeps. You'll reach him at the beginning of the 2nd lap. 8.4 Nothing worry about. Your upgrades are very good. Not worth the difficulty level of this goal. 8.5 It's basically win. But since I jad to encourage Ahmed I took up tje 2nd position and let him win. Damn, I never thought he'd go and train to become a driver. Guess more challenges are coming. All's well that ends well.

The player has 8 days to complete the 8 stages, the event is 8 days x 24 hours. The first stage will start the time the player starts it, the last stage will end 8 x 24 hours later. As stage 01 is normally straightforward and can be completed without an upgrade or service, it can be started late in the day, it doesn't matter if stage 01 isn't completed the first day, it can be continued the following day. Stage 02, will automatically unlock at midnight, but can only be raced once stage 01 is complete. Stage 03 will unlock at midnight the following day, and so on up to stage 8. In total there will be 8 x 24 hours = 192 hours to complete all stages.

For example:

Start Friday July 27th @ 7:30 PM the event will end 8 days x 24 hours later, Sunday @ 7:30 PM,

You need to choose the best time for you to start Carbon Copy event, or more importantly when is the best time for you to end the event!

RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race tip):
I wouldn't recommend starting the event on the first day, Sunday, July 22 2018, as many racers, who start as soon as the event opens, complain about bugs, which FM then fix! Instead, leave the start a day or two and let other people do the bug testing. Also, the tips and details can be filled in by the early adopters, so starting a day or two later gives a better heads up.

Ideally, for racers who are busy Monday to Friday and have the weekend free, the best day and time to start is as late as possible Friday July 27th, as long as it's before midnight, meaning stage 8 of the event can be completed over two days, the following Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately there will be a short time to start this event! It may be only open for 1 week, as the next event is expected Saturday July 28th. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

When is the last time I can start this Event?[]

According the the release notes Friday July 27th.

The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at midday or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

Will this event be added to the race career?[]

FM went through a spell of adding special events to the racing career, the last time a special event was added was September 2015 v3.6, NASCAR Academy was added directly to the NASCAR career, without previously being released as a Time Limited Event (TLE). Previous to that was April 2015 v3.3, with Redline: Origins and MotorFiesta 1. It is therefore unlikely this event will be added to the racing career.

Will the car be available to win in the future?[]

The MERCEDES-BENZ C11 is available to win if the challenge is completed in 8 days, after July 27th the MERCEDES-BENZ C11 can be purchased.

What is the minimum PR / upgrades required[]

!  This section needs updating once the upgrade requirements are known  !

RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race):
Since Generations, if the players car is far below the recommended PR level the bots run impossible times. Once the car is upgraded the bots return to normal times. Slowing the bots works, only when the PR requirements are close. Some goals have fixed top bots. Possible upgrade strategies:
