“ | Complete the FORMULA 1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX 2021 5 Stage special event for your chance to earn a 2021 Season Formula 1® Car and the Japanese Grand Prix™ Tuning Setup! | ” | |
— Natalia, Agent |
The FORMULA 1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX 2021 is the sixth challenge of Grand Prix Special Events for the 2021 Formula 1® Season in Real Racing 3. It gives players the chance to win a 2021 Season Formula 1® Car of their choice.
The FORMULA 1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX 2021 is part of Round 4, Season 1 of Bugatti Bolide Update (v10.0), and can be accessed through the Round Hub button on the Home tab.
This Event is available to start from Monday, November 22nd 2021 directly after the Bugatti Bolide Update (v10.0) is installed, until the Round ends on Monday, January 10th 2022 at 20:00 UTC. When the Round ends, the Event will be locked, unless the Event has been started before the end of the Round and 5-day term is not over. Acquiring an F1® car unlocks the Event, and completion rewards are obtainable still.
Since the player has owned at least one F1® car, the Grand Prix™ is available for completion, until the Round is expired on Tuesday, December 6th 2022.
A Career version of this event is available in the Grand Prix™ Special Events (2021) section of the Formula 1® Hub since 10 Year Anniversary Update (v11.1).
The player can participate in any Formula 1® 2021 Season event with any car, already owned, previously used in a Special Event, or not. Ability to take the same car into multiple Special Events is noted as the main purpose of renewed Motorsports.
The five Stages of this Special Event are a typical Formula 1® Racing Weekend for the player to go through, driving their chosen car on Suzuka Circuit: Free Practice (Stages 1 & 2), Qualification (Stage 3) and Race (Stages 4 & 5).
Each following Stage unlocks immediately upon completion of the previous one.
The player is granted with free and instant car service and instant Tuning, which are available within 3 hours of entering the event[1] before the end of the Round.

2021 Season Formula 1® Car[]
To win a car, the player must complete the event within 5 days (24 x 5 = 120 hours) from the moment of entry. During this period, the countdown is displayed on the event schedule card (bottom scrolling ribbon) in the Round Hub. The remaining days and hours are displayed rounded and change every half day, then half hour, and so on. If time runs out, the player will not earn a car, although the event will remain open for completion, and other rewards (see below) are obtainable still, and currency bonuses are likely to be larger.
The player can choose any car that isn't owned yet on the final "Event Complete. Choose Your Car" dialog of the event regardless of the car used to win the event.
Obtaining any car unlocks 2021 Champion Series.
Tuning Setup (reward)[]
Although the player purchases Tuning Steps for the full price, the game presents resulting Setup as a reward, available after the Special Event for any car within the same Motorsport group via Tuning Setup Inventory.
The player is rewarded with the Tuning Setup as soon as the event is completed.
