“ | Complete the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2020 Special Event within 5 days to earn a 2020 Season Formula 1® Car and the United States Grand Prix™ Tuning Setup! | ” | |
— Natalia, Agent |
Formula 1® United States Grand Prix™ 2020 is the ninth and final challenge of nine Grand Prix™ Special Events in Real Racing 3. It gives the players a chance to win a 2020 Season Formula 1® car of their choice. The player can participate in this event with any car, already owned or not. Ability to take the same car into multiple Special Events is noted as the main purpose of renewed Motorsports. There is no restriction on participation in several Grand Prix simultaneously.
Formula 1® United States Grand Prix™ 2020 is part of the Formula 1® and McLaren 765LT Update (v9.1), and starts at the earliest on Sunday, February 7th, 2021.
The five Stages of this Special Event are a typical Formula 1® racing weekend for the player to go through, driving their chosen car on Circuit of The Americas: Free Practice (Stages 1 & 2), Qualification (Stage 3) and Race (Stages 4 & 5). Each following Stage unlocks immediately upon completion of the previous one.
2020 Season Formula 1® cars
List of 2020 Formula 1® cars the players can choose:
The 2020 Season Formula 1® cars have been added to Daily Race (Formula 1®), 2020 Champion Series and 2020 Invitational Series in the Formula 1® Hub.
Rewards
2020 Season Formula 1® car
To win a car, the player must complete the event within 5 days (24 x 7 = 120 hours) from the moment of entry. During this period, the countdown is displayed on corresponding special event tab. The remaining days and hours are displayed rounded and change every half day, then half hour, and so on. If time runs out, the player will not earn a car, although the event will remain open for completion, and other rewards (see below) are obtainable still.
The player can choose any car that isn't owned yet on the final "Event Complete. Choose Your Car" dialog of the event regardless of the car used to win the event.
Obtaining any car unlocks 2020 Champion Series.
Bonus Rewards for Goal and Stage completion
For successful completion of certain Stages and/or Goals the players are rewarded with Bonus M$ and Gold,
- 200,000 and 50 in total.
For the distribution of rewards, please see the Completion Rewards section below.
Bonus M$ don't count towards a player's M$ Daily Cap (always) and are also credited in excess of the M$ Wallet Cap (when reached only).
There is no time restriction to get these bonuses.
Tuning Setup (reward)
Although the player purchases Tuning Steps for the full price, the game presents resulting Setup as a reward available after the Special Event for any car within the same Motorsport group via Tuning Setup Inventory.
The player is rewarded with the Tuning Setup as soon as the event is completed.
70th Anniversary Liveries (5 events)
Upon successful completion of five of the season's events, the player is rewarded with 70th Anniversary Liveries for F1® Academy Car and 100,000.
There is no foreseeable time limit for completion.
McLaren MP4/4 (all 9 events)
Upon completion of all of the season's nine events, the player is rewarded with McLaren MP4/4 and 250,000 or, in case the car is owned already, 150 and 500,000. Along with the car or replacement, MP4/4 WORLD TOUR unlocks, and this is the only way to unlock the series.
The "We Race As One" F1® Academy Car livery, which is also awarded for participation in eponymous time trial competition, will be earned by completing all nine events too.
There is no foreseeable time limit for completion.
