P1 and its not close, as HDawg and Lambo said. Top speed is its only disadvantage, but it’s not a substantial difference. Braking is effectively the same between the two when FU, but the P1 has a gargantuan acceleration and handling advantage. Lime Rock’s a track where handling is vital and this is the South Circuit, which has quite a few sharper corners, so the P1’s superior handling will let it carry more speed through them and superior acceleration will let it pull out quicker, so this should be an easy win for it
Finally got around to the TTC and got it over with fairly quick, though that may not be a great sign, given the result
Overall, decently fun. The Loop and Club Chicane didn’t feel as annoying as usual, though the latter may be because I didn’t optimize it. The section from Maggotts-Chapel Curve certainly was tho. That set of corners is surprisingly annoying in high grip cars because they all kind of blend into 1 or 2 braking points that can easily be screwed over by the race line. I honestly thought I was driving really good, so seeing this end result kind of stings. I thought it would better. I’m not sure where exactly it went wrong, but this late into the TTC I should be safe, so that’s me done with this
Also please tell me it’s just not me having a skill issue that causes the rear to snap lose at random. That was something of an issue at Sebring too

Not surprised at how long this took given that it’s a new track, so I needed a bit of time to lock in
Started off with a 43:055, which very quickly almost got me dropped out of A, so I had to go back. I probably only really needed a tenth, so this was a pleasant surprise, though it’s partially ruined by what I lost at the last corner. That one’s really annoying because there’s no good reference points, so you’re just hoping for the best as you go through it. Turn 5 is also pretty annoying. Can’t count how many I’ve ended up off track through there. It’s such a sharp corner. Regardless, I’m content with this lap and that’s me done for the week

Got a 1:06:737 after some very grueling free styling. Aside from the chicane, I found the exit of turn 2 and turn 7 really difficult. Not washing off track at the former and maximizing the latter without clipping off track were the biggest hurdles for me overall. As of now, I’m 10th on the leaderboard. I really hope it’ll stick, if only because I fell just shy the last time the 412 was the top car and I want redemption. But, I’m not optimistic about it. Still, a satisfying lap that will be an easy A

The bottom part had me speedrunning a migraine
Toyota at home
I actually think it’s pretty solid. Ford GT Le Mans and Huracan STO are what I’m looking forward to most. Wasn’t playing when these were last available to win and they’re nice cats to drive, so I look forward to adding them to my collection. Plus, 412 T2 in week 2 of the WTT and finally a P1 sale
Only thing that’s putting a bit of a dampener on my contentment is the possibility of 35% sales across the board yet again. I really hope that’s not going to be the case, especially for the GT LM (if it does get a sale)
Golly this WTT’s brutal. My first run was 1:09:613, which was just outside of A. After a while of failing to improve the normal way, I decided to do something I never had before: drifting (mainly because I’m terrible at it, which you’re going to see). It took some time to get it right, but I’m satisfied with the new time I’ve set
Normally, there’s just 2 corners that really suck for me to deal with, but here, literally all of them were awful. Everything get messed up so easily with how fast the Bolide is. And the darker daylight setting did not help, as I found some braking points and sections of off track harder to manage cause I can’t see them
The drift through t5 was an accident. Idk why it happened, but it worked in my favor, so I just left it in

No Acura, so I’ll have to settle for mid A at best, but 100 gold’s 100 gold. Honestly, I did better than I expected. Previous sessions had me capped at 1:32:0xx for a while. I’m not sure what went so differently this time. Maybe better Les Combes and Stavelot. Seems like I was a bit early on the brakes for the first corner. Without that, I’d be closer to the top Porsche, but second fastest will do. The lap itself was really clean, so I can’t complain

The Bolide took a lot longer than I want to admit to, but I’m content with it now
I’m not Lambo, but I can tell you the IDR beats the Valkyrie at both
The fastest Valkyrie time at Nurburgring (that’s legit) is 1:10:634 in First Flight. The fastest I did in the IDR is 1:07:281. It could definitely be cleaned up a bit, but it goes to show the IDR dominates there. It brakes way less and is full throttle through the chicane at the end, though doing that is extremely difficult
At Dubai, it’s the same story. In the IDR, the fastest time is 1:08:508 in Shock and Awe. The fastest I could manage in the Valkyrie is in the 1:13:096. That could also be faster, but even then, it’d be impossible for the Valkyrie to close that gap. Same story as Nurburgring where way less braking is done on the IDR’s end
I also decided to test Bathurst since it meets the same criteria as the former two. The fastest time in the IDR is 1:15:148 in the ES. The fastest Valkyrie time I got was 1:16:038. Again, room for improvement on the Valkyrie’s end. 1:15:1xxs seems to be the fastest the IDR could do there, so with faster times in the Valkyrie, they would both be close enough to one another to be competitively viable (I would think anyway)
All of these were done with similar speeds through the corners leading up to the start/finish line at each track (that isn’t in a TT for both) to emulate a TT as much as possible for the most reasonable results
Almost forgot to post these
First time at Brands Hatch in a WTT for me and I got a 31:603 extremely fast. Turn 2 is definitely the trickiest part of this. Getting the braking and, to a lesser extent, the throttle point right took a little bit. But, beyond that, none of it felt very difficult. That being said, I got this time really fast and it makes me suspicious I’m not fully optimizing the track. But, I can’t see anywhere I could feasibly improve, so oh well

I’ve forgotten how annoying Hockenheimring is when you’re trying to get a good time in a TT. This car is nice, so it’s not been as painful as it could be. I set a time of 1:05:137 first, but wasn’t satisfied, so I went back and finally improved to this time. Still not completely satisfied, as previous binned runs tell me 1:04:8xx is possible. But I’m not going to drive myself insane for another tenth that I shouldn’t need anyway, so this will do. Turn 2,12 and 16 have been the most frustrating ones for me. It feels impossible to keep up a good pace through them without giving some time back
Goofy Spotify car
COTA once again returns to bring ruin to my peace of mind. And that it did. I’ve always seen COTA as one of my weakest tracks and the hour and 40 minutes of me being so close but so far have shown that. Turns 8/9, 19 and 20 are the ones I’ve been struggling with most. Really hard to stop from going off track on entry and/or exit of the former and it feels so hard to keep a good pace through the latter two. But, I finally set a 1:24:971. I was hoping for a 1:24:8xx for security, but I’ve decided this will do

I actually got the run on recording. With the game being so smooth now, I might do it more moving forward. Not sure about it yet

A Red *Bull* on a Ford *Mustang*…
I’m happy to say that one of my greatest foes has been conquered. Finally made a decent Red Bull
Certainly expensive. 4 straight weeks of sales and the Evija X will cost a pretty penny. But weeks 2-5 will be a welcome break for me. 4 group A opportunities vs the one from this update. What I’m especially excited for is the Bolide. I’ve been waiting on a sale for that thing for eons and now it’s here
