It is time for me to add my name to the wall. I know a couple of people worked it out based on the additional admins recently being added, but I didn’t want to leave RR3 Michael P without him being set-up with new recruits ;)
As for the reasons why… To cut a long story short (for the director’s cut, I’ve written it down on a blog, just didn’t want to spam the page, especially as I don’t think many people will be interested :P), the whole experience is just taking up more and more of my time and it’s not a viable lifestyle. I have really enjoyed helping everyone here and if this could be a job for me (even a low-paying one), I’d probably jump at the chance. But that’s not a possibility :/ I feel like I know a huge amount about the game and Wiki, but it’s not useful outside the recreational sphere and most of what I’ve learned are non-transferable skills into my university course, meaning the time spent editing or racing is time wasted in terms of studying for a prospective career. As far as why I’m not just choosing to just edit or just race, or not spending as much time doing either, it is down to my character: I can’t half-ar*e! I either have to fully-dedicate my time and effort to something or I don’t touch it whatsoever.
Anyways, my last post will be tomorrow, to collect the year-long achievement, before radio silence. If you have any questions, you have a limited window of time available! Thanks to everyone that’s been here during this time, there are too many names to list! I’m sure others will be happy to see the back of me, still :P As far as whether I’d come back in the event of a potential “fresh start” with a game like “Real Racing 4”, or something of the like (however unlikely it is for FM/EA to drop the iteration for the sake of a sequel):
Elp, have you considered having this as a blog post?
Raise a ticket, you might get compensation that way. Go to the FM website and go to RR3 support (technical support)
Both Michael and I (as well as Kuzz, before us) have tried to get in touch with them about something similar. They're not interested
If you go to the comments section on either that series, Ferrari Evolution or either of the two cars within, you'll see a way to get the F14 T at showcase discount.
There have been some issues with ghosts not reflecting the target time, they may have been taken out temporarily until they're fixed
It probably would've been more relevant if I had linked the Audi, instead :P
Listen to this one, especially on the first stretch of the Mulsanne Straight:
To note, I haven't driven the Audi in a while, so I don't know whether there is something wrong with the sound or not
"Impossible to progress": below 90-95%, playing two hours a day including at least one farming race, you'll be able to make good progress.
It's bridging the gap between 95 and 100% that is close to impossible when getting 5 Gold a day, without dedicating days to farming and/or spending extensive amounts of money in further IAPs.
While I play less now than I used to, I have gone from 96% in July 2015 to 97% in June 2016 (less than that recently as I've had less time). I would be further back had I not been able to get 20 Gold a day by signing out of social networks (for about 6 weeks I think), earlier on this year, but they fixed that "loophole" with the Ford/Daytona 500/Venom Update (can't remember which).
I feel like that (even if it is cheating), would be incredibly useful for farming Le Mans. Of course it would need trajectories that wouldn't cross the bots' path, but I feel like it's a surmountable challenge
Hmmm :/ Does it sound kind of like this?
Are you using Chase View? If so, switch to another camera (especially Cockpit) and that sound should diminish/disappear
Mine said "last saved: 11 hours ago", before I manually saved. No change from what I can see
The correct value is R$3,600 for 1 Gold, if memory serves me right
Re:Missing Fence
Yes, I first noticed it on Suzuka when switching from an Xperia S to a Galaxy Note 4. Though the graphics have now been dumbed down from when I first acquired it, the guardrails, especially around the overpass, were very noticeable
