Welcome to Part 1 of what I'm calling the '2024 Nostalgia Trip!' Reason being is that the next three weeks allude similar WTT's during these weeks in 2024. We will revisit three classic tracks or lineups in the next three weeks, with the first being a revisit to Circuit de Catalunya's GP Circuit, one year after it hosted Week 22 of 2024! Our lineup is also one we saw last year, starting on the 26th day of one month and ending on the 2nd day of the next. In this case, it's the Lotus Type 125, Ferrari F14 T, and Ferrari 412 T2 we last saw from August 26th-September 2nd, 2024.
One thing that needs to be mentioned is that all three cars this week have the pre-2019 F1 handling, which means incredibly sensitive steering and extreme aero grip setups, with low grip at low speeds and high speed grip/understeer at high speeds. As Catalunya has a fair few low speed corners, and an annoying low speed final chicane, this could be a bit of an annoying combo for many of us.
Performance wise, the classic Ferrari 412 T2 will be the best car once again. This was the last F1 car to use a V12 engine, back in 1995, and despite its engine sound being like a V10 in-game, it's still a lovely sound (though the 412 T2 is a lovely sounding car irl too and we would love for Slingshot to connect it). It has the best speed and grip of all three cars, and despite a slight deficit on acceleration, that can also be a blessing in disguise as it can help with car control. So far, Alfred has set a 1:06.2, and I'd say we'll see a pole time around 1:06.0-2.
The F14 T will be second best. Catalunya will suit the F14 T's strengths more than Monza did last summer. It has very good acceleration and brakes, and Catalunya's numerous acceleration critical zones will help this car out. It does handle a bit worse than the 412 T2 though, especially at Turn 9, where the F14 T has a high risk of understeering into the wall, versus the 412 T2 which is easier to navigate away from the wall. Despite that, career time trial times indicate that the F14 T is very marginally slower (1-2 tenths), if not on-par with the 412 T2. Thus, Group A is possible for both cars.
The Lotus Type 125 is once again left on the back foot as a result. It has notably more understeer than the Ferrari's, and just isn't as fast, though that's not surprising given this is a F1-inspired track-day car rather than an actual F1 car. Group B may be possible but further tests will be needed to verify such.

Lotus Type 125 (loaned)
Last Appearance in WTT: August 26th - September 2nd, 2024, Week 3 v12.6

This week’s sale is 45% off the Lotus Type 125, the first WTT sale since February to not be 35%! Its last sale was 40% off during its aforementioned WTT.
Purchase price: 484 gold
R$ Upgrades (1121211): R$597,245
Series Upgrades (5434343): R$1,660,450 and 507 gold
Fully Upgraded (6434344): R$1,660,450 and 755 gold
With the Exclusive Series paying 150 gold, the net cost for fully upgrading from series upgrades is 98 gold.
This car has two series, Exos Experience and its Exclusive Series. They pay 83, and 150 gold respectively, adding up to 233 gold total. This assumes base completion. No other cars are in its series.
A great deal for this car, and if you are looking to upgrade it, this is your chance. There could be a chance, as usual, that its flashback event comes around. It may be worth doing some upgrades for that event (around R$ upgrades is the minimum strategy). It isn't the most conventional car to drive, nor is it for good tournament results, so it's really up to your goals here.

Ferrari 412 T2
Last Appearance in WTT: August 26th - September 2nd, 2024, Week 3 v12.6

I copied this from the last year's threads, and I will continue to every time it gets a WTT lol:
The Ferrari of course is not on sale, but it is worth mentioning that it is only 614 gold to fully upgrade. Compared to the modern day skidblocks that cost 1300 gold to FU, the performance and potential fun factor from this older F1 car is a relative bargain. Given it has also had three WTT's in the last 15 months, and all three times it has been best car, it appears to have a great return on investment nowadays.
Unless you started Motorfiesta 1 in Legend before v6.4, there is NO TIME LIMIT for completing that event to earn this car in Legend. Many of you probably have it already by this. If not, you can earn this car with little to no upgrades, and get up to 135 gold by doing the event!
Speedmaster’s playlist of Motorfiesta 1:
This week is a great opportunity to complete this event or upgrade your car. The strategy of -1 Engine isn’t a complete outside chance either. Around COTA National in March, if you could make do with limited drives, it may have actually improved prospects. At Catalunya, a circuit favoring some cornering, it may be possible though Catalunya isn't as friendly for lower upgraded cars as COTA, but I reckon it's more than doable to get A with 20-22 upgrades.

This week started on May 26th/27th and will end on June 2nd/3rd.
The OMP sale for this week is 35% off the Bugatti Chiron; its last sale was also 35% during its March 2024 WTT. Not the best car out there, and it's being beaten by the overpowered GT2 RS in OMP this week. Don't forget Memorial Day sales are still on for another day, if you want to take advantage of them.
All the best for this week everyone!
