I hate this track, especially the last chicken. Though, I am fighting towards group B again ( 1/3 second left). Would probably be easier with FU Spanish tuning. But I would have to invest round about 750k M$ for a possible gain of 25 GC. Not sure if that's worth it. Looking forward to see group A videos from Naomi and her friends. 😀
1:05.884 now, driving max D,P Mercedes with same Austrian tunings. Got back into 45% of group B. I think it can hold to the last.
Haha, my intention yesterday was to leave this TT as it is (me being in C) but now I'm watching F1 quali for tomorrow's Spanish GP and it's itching me to start another TT session to improve my time 😂 Oh well...
@DecadeHansen "they probably used the other players' hesitation to their advantage and pass them with full confidence,
No external mods are used, it all depends on the driver."
Ah ye, ye, full confidence is all what's important to push the Academy Car to 333 kph 👏
Literally my first run with RB16 + Singapore (everything maxed) and I'm down from 1:06.439 to 1:06.198, top C. Not a huge improvement time-wise but it's polar opposite of how it feels to drive in comparison with yesterday.
Interesting because I can't get those faster (Spa, Silverstone, Yas...) tunings work here and many of you set your great times with them 🤔
I can go low 1:05.xxx, this was pretty careful run to experiment and see how it goes. Increased grip and excellent brakes FTW! Time to service my car and resume playing later.
1:04.270, FU Merc with Abu Dhabi set up. Great track. Tough tough final section.
1:05.655 with FU Merc and Abu Dhabi setup. After spending too much time with the Spa setup, I tried Abu Dhabi and was immediately 4/10 faster. Unlike Monza TTC, I can ghost the top players and not lose sight of them after 2 corners. The last chicane is killing me.
As usual, group A is too far away for me but my current global position 792 is a record.
I've really been enjoying these F1 time trials. Having the extra week helps to relieve some of the (calendar) time pressure, which may be one reason I seem to do better than on regular weekly WTTT events. It probably also helps that I'm generally running the same car and setup event after event, so have a well-developed feel for car behavior and limits.
Whatever the reasons, I've been having better luck setting decent A times with the F1 cars, relative to my results on the regular weekly time trials.
I'm sitting at 1:04.551, at the moment, with a fully upgraded Mercedes.
I totally agree @Itazura.da
Also knowing what track is coming, and then using that as track as the M$ farming race in advance, means I get very familiar with running the track at speed even before the event begins. Whatever the reason, the time it takes me to do a decent B run in WTTT, but still 0.5sec out of A, is enough time for me to put the F1 car into A in these TTCs.
What do you think?
