@PLzr -- Corner 9 is Mulsanne Corner. Corner 12 is Arnage. Turns 4/5 are the esses. I dont cut those corners either and when I try, I lose speed as well. Could very well be from SA. From Elps post, he did say the esses are really hard to get right and he doesnt cut them all the time. With a fully upgraded Toyota, I am hitting 257-260mph (413-418kph) when I reach my braking zone.
@Rikardo 83 -- Nice run! TC will certainly slow you down. SA not so much. Some even argue it has huge benefits. I use SA Low, because if I dont, I have to turn my device almost 90deg in order to make a turn. Such asinine programming.
The link is to a thread with pretty much a walkthrough of where to cut
Just the screenshot of the laptime and info of the cars PR :)
Re-posting this because it shows everywhere to cut
For Mulsanne corner I'm as far left on the track as I can be to straighten the corner out, almost clipping the sand trap before turning in to the apex, I'm getting better at hitting the esses now but it's still hit and miss at times
I think I get the tablet vertical for Arnarge but it's so quick barely have chance to see if it is or not, Ford's are about the same with a fast chuck of the tablet to get through without going off-track
I bet the Toyota has different braking point for Arnarge in my Audi I brake where the barrier sticks out on the right of the track, recently found the extended tarmac on exit is very useful to get the corner faster
Dont recall where I am braking with the Audi, but with the Toyota I brake where the barrier ends (or sticks out?). Under braking and as I approach Arnage, I make a hard swing, wide left and dive into the corner, just clipping the curb/grass and then back to full throttle.
Oh it just ends? :) lol my trackside knowledge has gone down since tag challenge stopped, it visually sticks out? sounds like the Toyota has similar braking point to the Audi
Well, I wasnt exactly sure so I went and took a look. It indeed ends lol. At least on my device it does. Ive seen some screenshots and videos where some trackside objects appear but not on my device.
I improved my best time Total : 26:35.924
Best : 2.36.923
94,7 PR
Tilt B
Steering Low
brakes off
Tc off
@Gizm0h Thanks, I did only one try with PR 94.? since my Toyota is PR 93.8. I borrowed upgrades but it takes time to get used to the new acceleration and braking points. I'm headed for the first place but that guy on top with best lap 2:30... That is amazing!!!
@Rikardo I know what you mean. I recently added the last engine upgrade and even that little bit changed the braking points. And yea, the top lap time is quite fast BUT beatable. Sadly, Im pretty sure he has dropped at least a second off the fast time and probably multiple seconds off the total time. He's probably got a handful of screenshots just sitting around waiting to be used lol. Im pretty close to submitting a new PB and it might just force him out retirement from this thread, at least for a run or two lol.
Hey Rikardo and GizmOh, thank you for your kind words:) I can assure you there aint no screenshots waiting to be posted, i made the Toyota runs during a crazed one to two week period, cloud borrowing the upgrades, then restoring.. Yes, all them runs for nothing!?:)
But was fun:) Did go 2.29.xx in a lap, but them were aborted runs, so it is possible to go some ways faster.. From memory i estimated 25.2Xmin was very feasible.. Especially as now i know about Team team-mates being in a line up, so less cars to lap 2x.. That is a big plus, gettng fast bots..
I am pretty chuffed that im still top, been a while now, and i did make some pics and a video of how i run it and the cuts, ages ago tho.. But that is maybe even half a year ago now? In Game discussion somewhere i think.. So perhaps try to find it, and when you beat me, make sure to mention me in your acceptance speech:)
And keep enjoying rr3!:)
