<p>Hi there Racers, I have recently noticed that the retire/enter race again no longer works to slow bots down. The only way it seems to work is to actually race to the end/wait for timer to run out.
I was wondering if this is happening just to me or if anyone else has noticed the same thing.

<p>I was able to bring the EG 4.5 top speed down by loosing many of the Speed Snaps badly. It moved at first, and then sort-of stalled at 195.5. After doing a service, it continued down until something i could reasonably win.

</p><p>I'm not a fan of bot slowing in general but SEs are an exception. Currently on EG day 2 (just finished Asterion) so this is timely!

Is there a way to do this for Speed Snaps? <p>Re: Speed snaps. I have just recently refined my strategy for doing them. If I'm having trouble with a speed snap I do the following;

</p><p>As far as slowing bots is concerned, it still works really good for me in a speed snap. As others have said it's best to finish very low in the ranking (8th for me). You can slow them down until every bot from 1st to last place has the exact same speed. Sometimes you have to leave the race and come back in to get it to drop a few more levels rather than pressing retry. </p>
- I see how fast I can take the the last corner until I slide out.
- I then enter the corner at that speed and keep that speed by feathering the throttle or tapping the brakes until I can go Full Throttle.
- If there are more slight Corners I take them at the widest point rather than the narrowest point as you'd usually do in a race.

<p>Strange thing happened today while doing runs on Indianapolis Speedway for the M8 distance team challenge: after a 6th and a 10th place I thought that I would have slower bots then, quit to the main menu and restarted the race. But now I could only reach 18th place! With the same time of 6:12 (unserviced car). Which made me think that maybe the calculation logic is based on average speed? After 6 more races my placing stepped up grandually so in the 9th race I was on place 13 with the 6:12 time.
</p><p>Did anyone else notice such a strange bot slowing behaviour?
